The part met all the design expevtations

This item was precision made of flawless teak wood. The first one I recieved was broken. Instead of two pieces it was in three. But Amazon, true to there promises took the return immediately and replace it with a perfect one in 2 days. That's what keeps me coming back. I will warn other boaters to be sure the mounting rail that you will attach this motor mount to must be perfectly square or it won't fit. My rail was not and required some whittling and sanding to make it right. Now I'm pleased with it and get complements.

Very nice wooden part.

Product was as described. Arrived on time. Comes with SS hardware. I had to modify it a little to fit the railing on my sailboat (it requires a orthogonal alignment of the vertical and horizontal railing). Since it remains outside I treated it with teak oil and it looks beautiful.

This was a great selling feature

Well constructed motor bracket made from TEAK. This was a great selling feature, as it matched the wood on my boat. Teak is also an oily wood that has great weather resistant qualities near the ocean; especially sea water.

Shoddy construction

I installed this and the first time I put my outboard motor on it and tightened the motor clamps the teak split

The wood is too thin where the cutouts are for ...

The wood is too thin where the cutouts are for the rails or possibly the kiln drying is insufficient. Mine split from top to bottom along the grain within a month.
