Perfect fit

Made ice within a few hours of installing. Hasn’t stopped since!

Hard to Install But Good Unit

LG left no slack in the harnesses. After removing the ice maker, had to remove the whole back plate, being careful not to remove screws holding the parts behind the plate. Got enough room then to use a short #2 Phillips and wrestle the single wire screw loose. Some idiot put it very, very tight. Sheese, not all of us have strong fingers and hands. Installed the harness plug before remounting the back plate. The unit had only 2 screws to mount, not 4 as some have stated. Reset the unit by holding the size button over 10 seconds until unit began its cycle. We have full bin in less then 24 hours. Discarded that ice in case dirt or stuff was in the fill line or the init. Recommend to all. It is a good ice maker. Ours was almost 9 years old.

Perfect replacement

I am not sure why the item description shows this is an inlet valve for a dishwasher because it is very clearly an icemaker for a refrigerator. Or maybe I installed it on the wrong appliance, but regardless I have ice again. This was the exact match for the ice maker I replaced. It was relatively easy to install.

Wait 24 hours for the first batch of ice

My house is 18 years old now and it seems like everything is starting to fall apart. Our ice maker stopped working and thought it couldn't be that hard to fix. I went on my handy dandy Amazon app and found what I needed. My husband installed it in no time. It was easy to install but we thought maybe he had missed something because it didn't make ice right away. Turns out it takes 24 hours before the unit makes it first batch of ice. Now it's making ice better than the original ice maker that came with Refrigerator.

We Have Ice!

Replaced our broken ice maker and it works perfectly. Note, this replacement does not come with any screws - so, be sure to keep the ones that come off the original, luckily we hadn’t thrown them away. Also, you need small hands to be able to connect the back wires.

Easy to install. Works great.

Easily installed following instructions posted in online videos. You take out two mounting screws and the unit comes down enough for you to unscrew the ground wire and unplug one keyed plug that can only be inserted the correct way. Plug the connector into the new icemaker, reattach the ground screws and then replace the two mounting screws. The entire process takes about 20 minutes.

Works Great!

Replaced my old ice maker that wouldn't stop making ice, getting clogged or locking up...all around continuous issues. This unit looks like it has been redesigned a bit, it functions perfectly. It's simple to install, three screws and plug it in...save yourself $$ on a service call, do it yourself. I thought about a factory refurbished model but was concerned that I was getting the same design I have now, which would eventually stop working correctly. Great product! Highly recommend!

Easy to install

It only took 15 to 20 minutes to remove and install the new ice maker in the door. Started and is working great.

It works.... it was a bit hard finding the correct model but this was perfect and It works!! We have ice again.

Too big

Did not fit. Same serial number but was half and inch too big ( on my 12 years old Lg fridge). A repairman said I had to buy the whole kit. Returned to Amazon with zero problem.
