Helpful, but small ears got sore

These really helped me! I have very small sinuses and have struggled with ear pressure relief since I was a small child. These made a big difference, although they didn't completely stop the pressure from building up (it was so much more manageable than usual, though). However, the pressure relieved itself aka "ears popped" within about an hour of getting off the plane (Minneapolis to Anchorage, so it was a longer ride), whereas usually I can barely hear for the rest of the day, so that was definitely a benefit. I'm giving it 4 stars only because my ears are pretty small and so is the opening to my ears and these are so large that they made my ears really sore! I'd trade that for having the pressure, but it's still not desirable.

These helped tremendously

These helped tremendously with equalizing pressure. I did notice that the pressure during landings is still quite intense, but it would’ve been more intense without the earplugs, so I would still consider them helpful. The only issue I had was the fact that I couldn’t hear very well. That was a small sacrifice to make for a comfortable flight.

Ear Plugs for More Than Just Flight

My Dad has strokes in his inner ear and needs ear plugs. These are the only ear plugs that work for him. I bought these as a gift fir him abd ge guves them 5 stars + and trust me, he is a picky guy! Quite frankly he is impossible to olease! His condition us rare and hearing auds do not work fir him, as they amplify sound. Having a stroke puts your senses on overdrive. Having one in your inner ear messes with all his senses to the extreme, so noise canceling headphones won't worj, and he still wants to participate in conversatiobs. He hears what sounds lije water in his ears, or air pressure, as if in a plain, so these are perfect. You can find them cheaper here and at Edwards Luggage. Shipping was a bit expensive, but well worth the money. Thank you so much! ????

Worth a try for you at this price, but I switched back to foam.

I used them for part of a flight from LA to Bejing and switched to my standard soft plugs (cheaper). Maybe they help with people who have major issues with pressure build up while using other ear plugs? But I think generally the pain from pressure in the ear while flying occurs on the INSIDE of your ear drum, not between the plug and your eardrum. I'm no doctor, but I switched back to the cheap foam softies since they helped make the flight MUCH quieter than these did.

Don't fly without these!

My ears have trouble equalizing when I fly and I often have intense pain, days of stuffy hearing, and have even gotten an ear infection after flying before. It really takes the enjoyment out of traveling! I was skeptical of this product but was also desperate to do anything to ease the discomfort. Surprisingly, when I used this product, I had absolutely zero symptoms during my two recent flights! I was especially worried because they were long flights (US to Europe and back), but I apparently had nothing to worry about! I used these in combination with sudafed and Afrin (meds suggested by my ENT) and I noticed a significant difference from previous flights where I just used the meds. I took them out once we hit cruising altitude so that I could listen to my headphones and they still worked, and they really do help muffle background noise while still allowing you to hear normal conversation. I won't be flying without them ever again!

They don't work

I was using these for my sleep not flights after reading the reviews it seemed like these would work out. You can hear everything just muffeled, they DO NOT cancel out bass at all infact that's make it more noticeable. I don't see these helping me on a flight either. Don't waste your money.

Miracle workers!

These really do work; excellent solution to my flying sickness. Every time I have flown in the past I've taken Dramamine or sinus medication to try to combat the ear and sinus pressure that caused extreme headache and severe pain vertigo and nausea. They never worked very well, barely took the edge off, and I had continued effects for several hours after landing. I bought these not sure if they would work, but willing to try them in combination with my usual medication. I forgot to get any Dramamine so went ahead and used the ear plugs alone. My ears ached some because the plugs are a little large for me, but they completely blocked out the air pressure. No headache or sinus pressure what so ever.....no side effects.....felt perfectly fine as soon as I landed and removed the ear plugs. I definitely recommend these for anyone who flies; these are my miracle solution from now on and no more need for pills.

Perfect for neurodivergent

I have ADHD and a hard time functioning with crowds, loud noises, etc. I used these when we took our daughters to parades and museums and for once the people and noise didn't get to me. I was able to actually enjoy myself

Zero pain during flights and bullet train rides

I used to be faced with extreme pain in my ears during flights, especially prior to landing. I tried opening my mouth, yawning, chewing gum, etc., but nothing worked. I can only describe the pain as feeling as if my eardrums were slowly pulled apart. Purchased these recently for my 13-hour flight to Japan and they worked PERFECTLY. I still felt slight pressure and popping in my ears, but ZERO pain. These have been a godsend for making flights bearable. Also, while they do not block out all noise, it does significantly decrease noise around you, which makes taking naps a lot easier. I also happened to have used these on the bullet train in Japan (where I felt pressure in my ears due to the high speed), and they worked perfectly as well. Highly recommended!!!

Fonctionne mais pas facile à utiliser

J'ai testé le produit deux fois et la première fois ça s'est plutot bien passé. Le problème est que c'est très difficile à placer les bouchons dans les conduits auditifs. Alors durant mon premier voyage visiblement j'avais réussi car je n'ai pas ressenti de douleur. Parcontre le deuxième la douleur m'a été attroce d'une oreille. Alors mon avis, oui ça fonctionne, parcontre le produit aurait intérêt à être amélioré car il est difficile d'être utilisé. J'espère que d'autres versions plus adaptatives aux oreilles seront disponible. Il me reste un autre voyage dans 5 jours et je compte les utiliser car je n'ai pas d'autres options et pour moi les changements de pressions sont attroce.

Ear savers!

PERFECTION. I used to get the WORST ear pressure pains when descending and landing on flights; it felt like someone was stabbing something in my ear and it was usually a nightmare to get to pop. I had high hopes for this when I read other reviews and I took them on a trip that had 4 different flights. They worked perfectly! No pain whatsoever that I can remember. Obviously, I still felt the air pressure differences and had slight ear pops but nothing that hurt like it used to. I am so happy I invested in these, these will be a staple travel item from now on. I put them in around 30min before estimated landing or when I notice the flight is around 2000ft and descending fast. Either way, highly recommended!

A MUST if you have problem with pressure in airplanes

My gf always had problems with pressure in her ears while flying. I saw a video from Unboxing Therapy about something like these things. Once in your ears, it really prevent getting pressure from high altitude. Put in 30 mins before take off/landing and you're good to go!

Miraculeux!

Je suis extrêmement sensible au changement de pression et j'en ai souvent pour 2 a 3 jours avant de retrouver l'audition complètement après un vol d'avion. Avec ces bouchons je n'ai eu aucun inconfort durant le décollage et l’atterrissage. Miraculeux tout simplement.
