Seem too soft at first, but work well.

TL;DR: I recommend these ear plugs for firearm use. Initially I wasn’t a fan of these, because they take a fair bit of time to grow back to size once out into your ear. However, I’ve grown to appreciate that aspect as it lets me squish them pretty small and easily insert them without the plugs fighting me the whole way. Unlike my other ones I can sometimes even give them a little push and fit them in tighter if I feel they might need it as opposed to having to completely remove and reinsert, which is very handy. From what I can tell, they’ve performed equally as well ad any other plugs I’ve used, though I always stick to the 30ish db rated products. I’ve also been able to repeatedly use the same plugs several times, which I very much value. With repeated use they may take even longer to inflate, however for me that’s acceptable. My primary uses are for hunting and the shooting range, using shotgun and 6.5mm centerfire rifle.

good inexpensive hearing protection

These are a good and inexpensive way to protect your hearing when shooting firearms plus they are comfortable to wear. Hearing loss runs in my family so I put these in my ears then use a good pair of earmuffs over them and it really helps to deaden the sound while I'm shooting a few rounds of trap or target shooting.

These are the only ones I will buy.

I use these earplugs for shooting and sleeping and they work very well. When used properly they create a great seal and offer great protection for your ears. These are the only ones I use and have been using them for years.

Great for noisy housemates

I have loud roommates who don't have jobs and tend to stay up all night encouraging their dogs to bark. These do a fairly good job of cutting down the noise so I can get to sleep at night. Usually get about two weeks wroth of use out of each pair (as long as I shower right before bed to reduce oil buildup), and as long as I don't seat them completely my ears don't hurt in the morning and I can still hear the alarm on my phone. Buying a bag of these every year or so is well worth all the sleep I don't miss out on. They of course work well for hitting the shooting range as well. I always carry a few extra pairs to hand out to the new folks who forget hearing protection.

Great little things

They work but are your basic type of ear protection foams. However, they are very comfortable compared to some other rubber ones I've used. I give them out to friends I bring to the gun range and use them to sleep sometimes. You can never have enough of these little things. When I first started using these I didn't know how to use them. Make sure to roll them up with your fingers so that they can go into your ear easily and allow them to expand within your ear. They expand quite fast and work well.

The Sounds Of Silence

These are fantastic at closing out the noise above and below me. The fairly inebriated drinkers from the saloon downstairs believe that each has the best story to tell and try to overspeak which causes the conversation next to them begins to get loud. I hear silence when I wear these bright orange cones of foam. Twist one and insert and listen to the noise fading away. Well these and thunderstorms videoes on You Tube works like a dream. I,m just afraid that I wouldn't be able to hear a burglar or someone yelling fire!

They block a lot of noise when I try to ...

They block a lot of noise when I try to go to bed and definitely make the environment more sleep-able (construction has been going on a few blocks away from 8pm -5am on and off for the past few months). But I wish they would make a product to eliminate a few more db's of noise. Not to mention I'm a bit of a restless sleeper and more around a bit, so I am constantly waking up with these having fallen out of my ears.

Best earplugs ever

I sleep in noisy environments and rely on good earplugs. These are my new favorites. After disappointing experiences with earplugs from our local stores I purchased these ones. My hopes weren't high. But OMG! They seal my ears like none other. Someone else had commented here that they expand so slowly. That's true. And that is the sign of a quality earplug. Because you need a few seconds to squeeze them tight and get them in. But once deployed these expand and voilà - silence.

Excelente calidad

Tengo vecinos muy ruidosos sobre todo en la noche con la música a todo volumen y gritos. Estos tapones no clausuran todo el sonido pero me ayudan a conciliar el sueño. Buen producto
