Great reading lamp
This is a great reading lamp, very attractive, and takes up very little space. Although the shade is brown, it provides sufficient soft light over a wide area in my large living room. The light is not overly bright or glaring through the shade. I am using a standard energy saving coil type bulb, and there is no overheating from it. This is a very versatile lamp that would work well in a kitchen, bedroom, study, hall or entryway, or even in a nursery for night feeding. The shade is sturdy, and could be recovered easily with a different fabric to coordinate with a specific color scheme if desired. I accessorized mine with a plaid 2.5 inch wired ribbon wrapped around the middle, and tied in a bow in the front. It would make a nice gift, and is a bargain at the price too.

Let’s off a lot of light for a small lamp
Perfect size for dim lighting. Enough to light up the whole room in my apartment without being too bright to keep the kids awake or stimulated near bed time.

Good lamp
This little lamp is a great value for the money. I was not crazy about the brown lampshade so I got some spray fabric dye and changed the color. It was very easily done and looks great.

Cute little lamp, I like that it's a soft yellow light. It was missing the crystals, though, which is disappointing.

Nice size for bedroom night stand
I like the looks of it with or without the dangle. It seems to be made well after you you screw the top on it's not fragile or cheap looking. It is a little top heavy. It has the switch on the cord so you don't have to place it super close to you. I'm getting another!!

These small lamps fit the bill for me. They are small, the darkened shades don't allow much light, but they are simple and create ambiance.

This lamp is super cute, although the price does reflect the quality.
The shade is just tacked over its frame with cheap glue, and if the shade doesn't sit straight (like mine didn't), the glue will come detached before the metal bends to get it aligned. You can also see that the folded-over part where it attaches to the frame at the top and bottom is not evenly set, so it's thicker in some places than in others. If you're looking for a high quality lamp, this is not it. If you're looking for a cute novelty item at an excellent price, this is a good fit. It matches another lamp I recently purchased, and I did manage to get it straight after some bending and wiggling (of the lamp), so I'll keep it, but would not buy it again.

Removed the hanging crystals
Unlike some reviewers, did not see any seam in the shade, other than what you'd see on any lampshade. A bit smaller than I imagined, I'd recommend to take out a ruler and see how it will look on your side-table. Overall, a beautiful lamp - I removed the hanging crystals, that was a bit much, takes only a few seconds. Skinny metal for the stand, but it doesn't bend, so it's fine - and it has a very solid cord & switch.

I purchased two of these for our guest bedroom and ...
I purchased two of these for our guest bedroom and they were a cute additon to the room . They are lightweight but balanced enough to stand up. The base of the lamp is black and the shade is brown. I would have preferred the switch on the lamps, rather than the cord, but because they are lightweight it is easier to manage on the cord.
