Fits perfect and works well

I don't know how energy efficient these "stick bulbs" are, but the one I had for my back balcony light fixture lasted over 6 years of nightly use and these bulbs are pretty hard to find. But got this one and it works good. No issues.....perfect fit. 5 stars.

Great white light!

I've used this as an outdoor light over a door for a couple of years...on a timer dusk till dawn. Great life. Now using it in the kitchen to light the prep counter and sink area. Only wish it could be on a dimmer. If so, I'd use them in all the ceiling cans.

Nice size but flickering problems

I had two 60 watt equivalents of this bulb in a bathroom fixture but wanted more light, so I replaced them with 75 watt bulbs. The brightness is great, but both bulbs exhibit frequent flickering--something that didn't happen with the 60 watt bulbs. I've kept them, but will probably replace at some point and not with another GE stick bulb.

A Uniquely-Shaped LED Bulb that Works Great and Pays for Itself Very Quickly

These GE LED lights are great. I have a number of LED lights from different manufacuters, so I'm not new to the technology, and I was still impressed with these. Why? Really great price, a unique shape that both looks good and makes the bulbs exceptionally easy to install and later remove when necessary, and a great light color that is bright without hurting the eyes (note: these come in different wattages, so check before you buy to ensure you get the brightness you want). They do get a little bit warm at the base after being on for a long time, but nothing out of the ordinary. LED bulbs, even when they were first introduced and insanely expensive, paid for themselves over time. These will pay for themselves even more quickly due to their price point and the small amount of electricity they consume. With the cost of electricity these days (this, of course, depends on where you live, but it is pretty much high everywhere), using LEDs throughout your home or apartment is a no-brainer. AND, to boot, keep the packaging in which they come, because if you move, you can take them with you due to their extremely long life span. THe judicious use of bulbs like this can significantly lower your electricity bill each month, and you shouldn't have to replace them for many, many years. Five stars.

For us a split decision

So far I am most impressed with life of our GE Lighting 63797 LED Brightstik 12-watt (75-watt Replacement) bulbs, but the wife is not as sure about the quality of the light. I suspect that the bulb emits a very white, but tends to pick up and reflect the off white color of our walls. These are in use in our hallway stairs and in a lighted closet. We are not depending on them for reading or finer work. I like that the stairway, which only has one light is a little better lit that the pigtail bulb it replaced.
