Pass!
PASS! After loading batteries, battery cover is hard to replace. When you empty the shavings, the cover there is hard to replace. PASS! I know those two plastic pieces are going to break at some point. I may return it if it’s not too late.

Good sharpener for the $
My 3yr old granddaughter like to draw with colored pencils, which are a pain to sharpen with a manual sharpener. This one was a good price, seems sturdy enough (for being made of plastic), and sharpens okay. Sometimes I have to put a bit of a twist/pressure to it to get it to 'catch', but it's easy and quick with good points. The only reason I took one star off is because my granddaughter stuck her finger in it and cut herself. I wish there was some kind of safety on it or atleast a warning! If there was a warning please make it bigger!! My granddaughter learned a good life lesson tho! It's a good product for a good price, I recommend it. Just be careful if you have little people with little fingers!!

Just wouldn’t stop at all.
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my daughter to sharpen her pencils. As you can see in video, it doesn’t stop automatically. It started when I put in the batteries. Tried to make it stop to no avail. Would stop only if I take the shield off. Apparently, it has two triggers- one inside the shield and one inside the pencil opening. Look like one inside pencil opening is unable to spring to “off” switch. It works well with sharpening the pencils. Just that it can’t stop at all. I had to get the refund via call because it is unreturnable.

Its a great brand!!
It was a great product as always, I bought some from eBay like 10 years ago! The sharpener itself I have bought from this seller, the sharpener started acting weird, then made a AWEFUL burning smell and the batteries got scorching hot! I immediately contacted xacto for a replacement and they replaced it, but the same thing happened, then just recently I saw the xacto buzz went on sale! So like usual I bought one... It is great so far as long as you don't use it very often, just sharpen like 2 pencils then wait, I have a xacto school pro as a extra, it works great! I personally like xacto's products!

Item is not returnable.
Perfect for No.2pencils nothing bigger. Compact fits @ the palm of my already small hand. Item does not come in blue like the picture I received orange. I received my sharpener broken, lid does not stay shut once batteries are inserted. Does not work. Amazon will not accept this item back and I have to contact X-Acto for help on my sharpener but I can’t get help from X-ACTO since they are closed due to covid. If you have a lil artist on your hands eager to create art; go with a different sharpener.

One good/ one bad
First one I got that was blue. Loved it. The second one I got that was green. Will not turn off once you put the batteries in. Unless you beat on it. And didn't know Amazon won't return it. They make you go through the company you bought it from. You're very interesting

Great little 'pocket pencil sharpener'
This pencil sharpener is compact, powerful, easy to use -- plus, it's a pretty color. I like sketching with wood pencils rather than mechanical pencils, so I'm very happy with this model.

Battery operated pencil sharpener
The media could not be loaded. For when you get tired of sharpening pencils by hand sometimes it's quick and efficient so on days your in a hurry to jot something important down very convenient for work or studying etc. Helps to buy rechargeable batteries
