As described

It is a not top quality tool that does the job but remember when buying the jaws open enough to fit a 12mm tap not a half inch opening. If you need a tap handle for occasional jobs and your tap is smaller than 12 mm it will do the job. You get what you pay for and that is not always a bad thing.

It works like it should

It's just a tool, does not need to be chrome plated I guess! It works like it should, just took too long to get here from overseas. I wish the seller would have given details of it's origin, that it was sourced from over seas, then would probably have chosen another supplier. Otherwise, no complaints. Thank you.

Mine wouldn't fit a 3/8 tap head, good tool other wise. Use for smaller stuff.

This is a decent tap wrench for the price. On the tool it says it will go up to 1/2 inch taps. This is not right( on mine at least), It wouldn't fit a 3/8 tap head.... So yes it is worth buying, just use it for smaller stuff and it is perfect.

Permanent handle for shut-off valve

The convenient size of this wrench (and good price) convinced me to leave this on the four-sided steel rod attached to my house's water shut-off valve, 16" deep in the ground outside (steel rod is hidden within a hedge). A spray of camouflage paint minimizes visibility of the wrench. Now, there's no need to go searching for the valve handle in an emergency. ; - )

Nonslip is a misnomer.

I loaded a tap into this unit, and found that the tap just could not be tightened in and held in place very well. Not much is more annoying than being half-way done tapping something, and having the wrench fall off the tap. I surmise the issue is with the tap in use: it's a half inch tap, and this just barely fits in the wrench with a little give.

Didn't fit my tap

I know a lot about tools but don't have a great deal of experience using taps and dies. I thought that all taps had a standard size end which fit into the tap handle. Well, I assumed wrong as my 16mm tap wouldn't fit. Wound up up tapping my nut using vise grips in stead of this handle. I can't attest to its durability other than it feels flimsy and not made to last. I was buying it to tap one nut so it was a bit of a throw away anyhow. If you're looking for a durable tool to add to your collection I would look elsewhere but for the once in a blue moon use it guess it would get you through the task. Good luck.
