Works great
I use this for a tubeless rim I have but I use a liner in it with the presta valve and it is pinching the tube in the valve area. I found out after I put the tube in and I didn’t want to take it off and do it again so I used about 4 ounces of slime about 4 months ago and about 250 miles later and it hasnt leaked at all.

Perfect for hassle-free riding
Used it, Loved it ... on the single wheel on my electric unicycle (EUC). Where the rubber meets the road, it seems, doesn't get enough love here. So I thought I'd start a thread to share opinions about tire pressure, maintenance, etc. (starting with some of my opinions). I find tire pressure to be one of the most important components of handling and ride, and I'm a bit obsessive about it on my EUC's (probably carrying over from motorcycles and bikes). There are three things that make tire pressure a challenge with EUC's: EUC's only have one tire, low pressure has a direct impact on ride, and tire failures are unforgiving EUC's have unique bent valve stems that make it hard to find inner-tubes, and a pain to fill (you just don't want to do it) EUC tire pressure is a bother to check compared to any other vehicle, because the valve stems are hidden in the EUC cavity, and difficult to attach to a pump ... and there are probably other things. The net result is that you want to maintain the tire, fill to pressure and forget it. To that end, I've Slimed (https://www.amazon.com/Slime-10056-Tube-Sealant-oz/dp/B003V9XYNW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1487706156&sr=8-2&keywords=slime+bicycle) both my V8 and Zero. I used about 1/3rd of the bottle on each one. There is no effect whatsoever on the feel of the wheel, and I think it provides a certain security. In Chicago, I can take my bike into any number of convenient shops to buy and install a new inner-tube; but the same shops would just draw a blank with an EUC, and the inner-tubes are hard to find. Best to maintain what you have. I like to keep my tire pressure up at 3 bar (~44 psi). The sidewalls of my V8 and Zero tires both recommend 40-65psi pressure, and the V8 comes from the factory at 2.8 bar (~40psi). So for me 3 bar seems the right pressure, and both wheels feel good at that pressure. It's a real bother to fit a pressure gauge on the valve stem because they are bent against the wheel. I almost never get a seal on my gauge without several tries. So instead, I pumped the wheels up with my Lezyne pump (https://www.amazon.com/Lezyne-Steel-Floor-Drive-Black/dp/B005UND3CY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487706504&sr=8-3&keywords=lezyne+pump) -- I recommend Lesyzne as the absolute best bike pump on the market -- and then put a Gozens 44psi cap (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HRIKIY0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) on the wheel. That way, I can easily check the pressure at the start of each ride. You do need to buy the Gozens at a particular pressure (BTW, they have bluetooth systems, which I think are a bit of overkill) but you get 4 of the basic caps for $9, so NBD.

I've Been Slimed...
The Slime was very easy to install into my bike tires and wasn't messy to do as other reviewers have experienced. Just take your time, read the instructions, and be careful not to pull the fill tube from the tire valve, and you're good to go. I am using this product mainly as insurance against flats and punctures, so as of yet, nothing has happened, which means I am either blessed or the product is doing its job, lol. When you install this stuff, some of it may settle at the bottom of your tires when your bike is stationary, but this isn't a big deal because once you start rolling, the Slime spread out. Tires actually feel a little more stable since using Slime probably due to the gyroscopic action of the liquid inside. For peace of mind, you can't beat Slime, or possibly an extra inner tube and tire irons, but Slime is easier. UPDATE 12/18/2014: Slime came through and did what it was supposed to do. I actually had my first flat while I was using my bike trainer, which allows me to mount my bicycle on the trainer and "ride" inside when the weather is raining or too cold for going outside. (I use the Kinetic Road Machine trainer, which is excellent.) As I was using the trainer I suddenly noticed that the resistance was getting low, and my rear tire was making an odd sound. I check the tire and it was flat. I rotated the tire slowly to see if I could see the puncture and there was a small piece of twisted wire or roofing staple that was stuck in the tire. When I pulled it out with pliers, the tire deflated some more, but in the area where the puncture was, I could see the green Slime oozing out of the small hole. I spun the tire a few times to evenly distribute the Slime and waited a few minutes for the puncture to seal. I then used an electric tire inflator to pump it up, and the tire has been leak proof ever since. Slime works and it really comes through when you really need it.

Got a flat on my ebike and this product saved me!
I use this goo as a preventative measure. Well, it came in handy when I got a flat on my e-bike last night. If you don't know how this product works, it becomes activated when exposed to air. So, while my tire still went flat, all I had to do was use my hand pump to re-inflate the tire and the green goo did the rest. I was able to do another 10 miles before going home, and almost a day later my tire is still fine.

Slime every tube you've got
Filling the inner tube is so easy. Just a poly hose that fits the stem, shake of the bottle, attach to bottle nozzle and squeeze. The exact amount of slime needed is not clear but you'll probably just have a feeling when the proper amount has been inserted. At first it did not seem to work. Using fix-a-flat on many a car tire I expected that if I filled all tires on a double stroller (one of which had a fast leak) problem would be solved. After filling the faulty tube with slime and air it was deflated again within an hour. I filled the tire with air again- to the marked psi BTW, and it has held pressure for several weeks now. Time will tell if the self-healing claims of Slime are true but I am starting to believe in its magic. I realize now that I have unnecessarily replaced far too many expensive stroller inner tubes. I am going to slime every tube I come across from now on. How convenient! Update 8/17: So far so so good. Really works long term. Love the slime even more
