A little different
First thing first. Dimensions: the dinner plate is 10" wide (since it's square, so same goes for length), butter/dessert plate 8" , bowl 7.5" across, and mug 4.5" high. I like the 16-piece set overall, but there's one minor thing that I'd like to warn prospective buyers. Amazon's picture shows the butter/dessert plate as white bone china, but in real life, it has an ivory shade. Overall, they closely resemble Amazon's picture. Check out my uploaded picture of the set under my screen name. The 16-piece set arrived in a box with 4 smaller boxes inside, each of which contains a 4-piece set. There's no introduction leaflet or care instructions, so I have no idea whether it's dishwasher-safe. The pieces feel sturdy and well-made, and bone china is the toughest type of porcelain. So I think it's dishwasher-safe. It's made in Thailand. The price is reasonable for a very modern and attractive dinnerware set, one of Red Vanilla's best china pattern.

Beautiful
I ordered this set without looking at reviews because I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I must say after receiving them (I ordered 2-16 piece sets - which I got), I was not at all disappointed. They are elegant and classy and would do justice to any dinner table. Unfortunately one of the soup bowls broke and I am now looking around for a replacement without having to buy the whole set (no luck yet). I'm also looking around for serving platters and bowls to complete the set. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who loves to set a beautiful table.

absolutely gorgeous!!
This set is stunning. I got it for $59.00 and now its 3 times the cost, which is disappointing. I would not pay that, but for what I paid it was a steal! one plate was broken which was a bummer but the set is so gorgeous that I didnt care. It is like eating on a piece of art.

The dinnerware set is great in appearance
The dinnerware set is great in appearance. Only thing I do not like is that they are not microwaveable safe. Outside (shiny) edges begin to spark, in microwave, and if you should happen to cover your plates with a paper towel or napkin you may get a fire on your hands.

Beware of a scam! I just received the package of red vanilla orbit 16-piece dinnerware set, and I can't believe it. I ordered 3 sets, expecting to have setting for 12 people, and what I got was 3 boxes with 4 pieces in each box: 1 soup plate, 1 mug, 1 salad plate and 1 dinner plate. So all together I have placements for 3 people.....What is even more interesting each box has a label: red vanilla orbit 16-piece dinnerware set! And on top of all I can't find any phone number to the customer service so I could call and scream.

Unfortunally When i saw my product, i realized one of the dish was of a different type, diferent of others. I live in Colombia , so what can i do??? Disppointed!!
