Comfortable shade

This hat is soft and very comfortable with a 4 inch shade brim. It’s also attractive. I had a similar hat from this company for many years. It’s slightly loose around the head.

This floppy hat is so cute!

It can be folded and packed for trave but takes some time to get the shape right when unpacked. No neck straps to tie it down on windy days. It’s lightweight and breathable. All in all I like this sun hat.

NOT 100% cotton

I dyed this hat a bright red and it turned pink. If you look closely at the fibers you can see that some of them stayed white, indicating it is at least partially synthetic. It fit well enough and does provide sun protection but it just isn’t what I’m looking for.

Excellent hat

Lightweight breathable looks great

Much lower quality cotton - disappointed

I bought this same hat two years ago. It was very white and the cotton had a very good quality weight to it, and a nice tight weave. On my FIRST wash the frame in the rim snapped, but I so needed the sun protection I kept wearing it. (It had a funny bend, like a Slinky that got overstretched and so it always coiled a little bit 'off'.) Two years later I decided to order a replacement. The quality of the cotton is far lower than my original. Instead of bright white its a dirty white - this I chalk up to being better for the environment(?). The weave is not nearly as dense - you can see the shadow of my hand/fingers when held under the brim- something you can't see with the original hat. Very disappointed that the quality has not been maintained, and the price went up about 25% as well.

Lightweight with good coverage

After seeing a fellow water aerobics member wearing a cute hat, I asked her about it. She told me San Diego Hat Co., from Amazon. I found this one which has a larger brim. It is great, very lightweight and fits snugly so it won’t fly off. It also collapses flat which will make it great for traveling. Your face gets coverage as well as the back of your neck. It also dries quickly if it gets wet in the pool. Great product, highly recommend

Perfect hat for traveling

I owned several of these hats in different colors, and they’re the only ones that I trust for sun protection. I’m very fair and freckle and sunburn easily, so these hats are a godsend. Not only are they stylish and I like the way you can shape the edges, but they pack super flat and are easy to hand wash. My only complaints are that because of the material sometimes it feels like a sweater on top of my head and gets hot, and once in his hand washed it takes a long time to dry.

Very nice quality

I wanted a white, cotton, washable, soft, wide-brimmed hat for gardening, one that would shade my face and neck. This hat does the job perfectly. My head is technically a "medium" (although I often find hats a little big). This hat is comfortably loose on me, which is what I wanted, as a tight hat in the hot sun gives me a headache. If you have a small head and are looking for a hat that won't blow off in the wind, this might not be it, as there are no ties or adjustments for tightness. But if you want a pretty, flattering hat made of natural fibres, this is for you. I love it.
