AquaLung i750tc dive computer repair disaster

This is not a negative review of Aqua Lung or Online Scuba (Amazon'a official re-seller) - actually, I've been a long time Aqua Lung user - dig their gear. This is a one-off, but I have to pass along my recent experience regarding a continuing failure of professional communication (mostly a failure of the local Bali authorized AL gear and maintenance shop) and the apparent complete lack of concern for the customer, regardless of price, brand or location. I just need my brand new dive computer repaired and operational. This review regards my recently purchased Aqua Lung i750tc dive computer. As far as functionality, I wouldn't know, my i750tc dive computer never even got to dive due to it not working right from the unboxing. Took device to local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop (Master Selam Dive Shop, Sanur, Bali), turns out some internal module failed and bricked the dive computer. This required the internal module needed to be replaced, according to the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop. Just happens that I live in Bali where there is only one authorized Aqua Lung dealer and repair shop center. Guess what? The local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop didn't have the required internal module in stock and would have to order it - ok, order it and repair it. Weeks went by, heard nothing, another couple weeks later - still nothing. Contacted the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop, nothing had been ordered. I contacted the Amazon third-party party re-seller - Chris provided me with instruction regarding how to move forward on this issue. Chris contacted his Aqua Lung representative and was info'd, which was passed to me, about the steps that needed to be taken. I contacted the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop that they needed to submit a 'Request for Maintenance' (RMA) form in order for Aqua Lung to make an assessment as whether to have the unit returned to them or they would just send the part to the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop to repair themselves. The staff at the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop just stared blankly, none had ever heard of a RMA. It also seemed to befuddled the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop staff to contact their Aqua Lung representative for further clarification and action. I am still trying to get this resolved and am willing to pay for the shipping and handling costs, but will most likely end-up with an expensive door stopper that closely resembles a i750tc dive computer. UPDATE: Got the dive computer back from the local Aqua Lung authorize dealer and repair shop - still bricked.
