What you need for polyurethane paints!
These rollers are exactly what I needed to use on polyurethane paint. They rolled perfectly, and distributed just the right amount of paint! Highly recommend.

Works Well With 2-Part Marine Paints
I painted my sailboat with Alexseal marine paint using these rollers in January 2020, following the recommendation of Andy from the Boatworks Today Youtube channel. Combined with Alexseal, these rollers yield a stunning result. I followed Andy's advice to the last detail, running the rollers over the sticky side of painter's tape to remove any excess 'fuzz' from the manufacturing process of these rollers. These rollers are pricey, but hold up extremely well with two-part paints. I used two per coat of paint (1x per side) on my 26' sailboat. I reckon you could get away with using 1 roller per coat, but why risk a mistake when you have already put countless hours into sanding your hull. These worked well with the Alexseal 441 primer as well. Ditto to epifanes gloss varnish on the cockpit coamings, and some polyurethane I used to finish a tabletop with at home.

Worked nicely for epoxy
I recently attempted to paint my shower (tile and fibreglass) with a solvent-heavy 2 part epoxy, and while I don't think I would recommend that anyone make that particular choice, if you're going to do it, these rollers work great. Initially I tried to use cheap foam rollers that melted and fell apart in seconds, the finish was terrible, chunks of foam were stuck all over, and I had to brush all the grout lines, which lead to a lot more finish problems. I had to sand everything down and order another kit of epoxy, and my research led me to these mohair roller covers, which had enough nap to get into the grout lines and also put down a smooth coat of paint easily, so much faster than my first try, with quite a lot better results.

Foe 2 part epoxy? Almost
I repainted my tub/shower with Rustoleum 2 Part epoxy/enamel. The first time I used the foam rollers Amazon suggested below the paint. The foam rolled dissolved making a mess of everything and I had to sand down the finish and repaint. I found these rollers that some reviews said were “good for epoxy” just to have an issue with the second roller coming apart half way through the second coat. I pulled the roller bits and pieces for the duration and managed to finish. These rollers barely got the job done. I think 3 stars is generous but I did not have to repeat the process.

Theses rollers work great on boat paints
I am refurbishing a 43 year old fiberglass sailboat and use the red tree mohair mini rollers to apply the top coats of urethane paint. They work very well and spread the paint evenl.

Lint!
I spent the money on these as one of the best boat guys out there recommended this brand for rolling marine paint. I cleaned them just like he said with tape-4x and I still was picking lint out of the paint. I ditched these for foam rollers. Much cleaner. No lint. And cheaper!

I wish I would have known about theses long ago...
Why am I just finding these! These rollers give you FLAWLESS finish for doors and cabinets. I have been working on painting my kitchen cabinets the past 6 months...I don’t have a sprayer and have been trying rolling and brushing. I ended up sanding and starting over using these. My front door and cabinets look like they were sprayed. When you start make sure to remove lint like you would any roller...then wet them in water and squeeze out the excess and they are ready to roll! I found best results doing multiple thin coats. I feel like I have discovered a best kept secret.

perfect with marine paint
Used these with Total Boat Works Wet Edge topside paint. Just pull the fuzz off with some blue painters tape before you use. Provided excellent results, very smooth finish. I have purchased these now three or four times. Not cheap but absolutely worth it for good results on the boat.
