Fun!

This game is a lot of fun! The expansion pack is nice, except it would be nice if they somehow marked the pieces differently than the original game pieces to easily separate when putting away. We don't always need the expansion pack, so we had to mark the pieces ourselves. Other than that, the game itself is awesome, and the expansion pack allows more players to join in on that fun.

A little pricey, but a good expansion

A little overpriced, IMO, but what's the alternative? It does allow for the addition of two extra players, which is great, because it's a bummer to have to have someone always sitting out of the game.

Fun game for those thinking type people.

I only gave 4 stars due to the small print on the box that said EXTENSION pack. I had to go back and find the base game to start playing it. This is just for a larger crowd of players to play. Fun game!

Best game ever!

I love this game!! Obsessed perhaps. The extension (product in review) is awesome. Now we can play with 2 more players. Which is nice. I wish you could extend it even more! Also a few more cards would hurt I find we are always running out of something. But that's OK. The game itself is really fun and everyone is in someway playing the whole time. I love that. But it's a bit hard for some people to learn at first. But just read the instructions and follow then play a few rounds to get the hang of it . I promise you, YOU WILL BE HOOKED!!!

Excellent!!

Excellent game! The original, base game of Catan is awesome and so addictive that I ended up buying this extension too (please note that this product is indeed an extension only.. pointless without the base game). In the age of smartphones, PC games and PlayStation etc. this is a rare item indeed! Entertainment for the entire family! Only one small drawback is that in this newer version of Catan (both base game and extension), the frames and colors for the resources are a little dull. They could easily have been a little brighter and of a more visually appealing color. But rest assured knowing that this is a tiny price to pay for the level of fun this game guarantees!

Always had one or two players left out, now every can play!

The expansion pack adds more land and ports to the existing base game. If you never played the base game, it's fairly simple and easy to learn! This expansion pack helps include a fifth or sixth player, so make sure you already have the base game.
