Excellent Protective Boot For Sprains and Breaks. Will Aid in Healing of Various Injureies, Under Medical Supervision.
After suffering a bad ankle aprain, and broeken foto, After suffering abad ankle sprain, and broeken foot, thisnboot was a lifesaver. It is composed of a soft and well - cushioned inner section, which fashions to the firm and supportive outer shell. I wore a thick wrap on my foot, and up my ankle, placed my foot into the cushioned section, and fastened it to the correct tightness with the Velcro fasteners. This inner cushion fits nicely into the hard and supportive outer boot. There are Velcro straps across the front of the boot which serve well in holding the boot firmly in place, no wobbling, or unsteadiness. There is a long Velcrostrap at the top of the outer boot which holds both the inner, and the outer boot firmly in position. The boot was surprisingly cool, and did an excellent job in holding my foot and ankle in the correct position, and providing more than an adequate amount of support to the ankle and foot. I was unable to walk at all without the boot. With the inner and outer boot firmly in place, my weight was shifted from the injured section, to the supportive boot. There was some pain when up and moving, but with crutches, I was able to move around without pain, and the foot and ankle healed nicely, and more quickly than expected. I only removed this boot for showers, using a shower chair, with help, and taking great care to place no pressure whatsoever upon the foot. I wore the boot 24 hours per day, and slept with the foot, in the boot, supported on several pillows, and in an upward position. This boot allowed me to remain mobile, lessened the amount of pain that I could have suffered, and was paramount in healing the various damaged portions of my foot and ankle. I highly recommend this boot to others in my position. This is a well-made and extremely well-designed piece of medical equipment. I highly recommend the use of this for sprains and breaks. This is a high quality piece and will work well with the healing of your injuries. As always, only consider and use such medical devices under the care and supervision of your medical professional. I used this device, recovered nicely, and highly recommend this boot for others in similar situations.

Fit was off
The boot seemed to rub my sprained ankle, it actually felt better to just wrap it rather than put this boot on. XL may have been too big for my feet (size 13 but medium width and thin legs). I'd opt for a air cast next time to ensure the proper fit.

Unable to return because plastic packaging was opened
We bought this XS boot for my son that wears a size 2 shoe. My son opened to package to try the boot on, but it was WAY too WIDE for his foot and he was unable to use it. DHM wouldn’t allow a refund because the plastic packaging was opened....frustrating!
