Not polished brass, its brushed

Bought this as an alterative to a local option that was more expensive. It did arrive to me damaged, however I would have returned it anyway. The finish was not polished, as in a mirror reflective finish. This is actually a fine brushed finished, similar to a 600 grit sandpaper. The screws were included, however they were brass coated steel. Otherwise this seemed like an OK kickplate if one is OK with the brushed finish, but "polished" is not accurate. Still better than the brass coated steel ones. We returned this and bought the local option which was mirror polished, with brass screws, but we had to spend an additional $70.

Brass front door plates

Well, we all want products we purchase to come undamaged and all parts existing. But, I got both brass plates BUT NO SCREWS ANYWHERE!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING. I did not return them, But I had to buy brass screws MYSELF! :(

Looks great!

I bought this in nickel to replace a brass one after updating paint color on a house I’d just bought. I was able to use the holes from the prior one and had it changed out in a matter of minutes. I love the updated look! Very good quality material.

Good material

I had an outside storm door that was deteriorating on the bottom inside and out. It would have cost me several hundred dollars to replace the door. I was able to cut and place this material on the bottom of the door for a very effective repair.

Solid and good quality

I used this on my sliding door screen. My dogs scratch to get in and have put holes in the screen. This solved the problem and it is light enough to not weigh down the door.

Am I stupid?

Am very happy with the brass plate, seemingly meeting all advertised descriptions. But, isn't it amazing that when I go to "buy again" the price has suddenly jumped by a factor exceeding three. That is to say, the price originally paid for the one received was $86.19 but to buy another one exactly like the original order they now want $255.33!! Unless this is just a simple misprice mistake, somebody must think I am too stupid to realise what's going on. And would you believe this is the second time I wanted to buy another item by clicking on "buy again" when the price for the repeat item was more than three times what I paid for the first one received. That is quite an algorithm some smart programmer has thrown in there. Want to bet this review doesn't get revealed??
