Lasted 21 months before the draw string broke
I purchased this product in April of 2018, and now 21 months later I'm in the market for another cover. No issues with tears or rips, the material has been very durable. Its a nice fit around my 820 pit boss and protected it just fine. However, the only thing that keeps it snug is a string around the bottom that threads through the material and has a plastic draw sting clamp type thing that allows you to tighten it up snug and secure it in place. I haven't been happy with that part of the cover since I bought it and it finally broke. I paid $90 for the cover back then, so I'm happy to see the price is about half that now which makes it more reasonable. I do think a velcro option should be offered.

Doesn't fit model its made for.
I'm not the first person to write that it doesn't fit. I didn't read the reviews because its a pitboss cover going on the model this is listed for. However, this is too small. It covers everything but it is tight and I can tell it will not hold up. This is not the same cover I'm replacing.

Tight
The Pit boss pellet grill cover is nice looking an very durable. We bought one for the 820 series the problem very tight fit. Hard to get on an off. Next size to big. Hope this helps

great cover but, wont fit if you have a side shelf.
Its a nice cover but, I have purchased the shelf made by Pit Boss that attaches to the right side under the smoke stack so the cover wont go all the way on. I still use it to protect the majority of the grill but, also put a second cover over the top just to make sure no moisture gets in. If it accounts for the side shelf I have I would give it 5 stars.

Overall a decent cover, perfect fit, functions as intended. If you don't care how it looks, this will work great.
Update: Felt that I needed to come back and update my review. I'm now on only 4 months of use, and this has faded considerably. Yes, it's still holding up and performing the function, but it looks absolutely horrible. The color is now closer to white than it is to black. I will likely have to take it to a local seamstress during the off season and have a new one made from better material from this pattern. Purchased the 820 model. Fits perfectly, drawstring design is well thought out and functional - stays on even in strong winds. The only drawback is the material fades in the sun - fast. Less than a month outside, and the color has gone from black to light blueish; sections that were out of direct sun are still black. This sits next to a covered Weber grille - at over 2 years in the sun, that cover is still as black as the day I bought it. Material seems strong though, and doesn't seem to have degraded (other than fading). Overall a good cover, perfect fit, and does exactly what it's designed to do.

The pit boss cover is not like the regular ones purchased in most stores. The quality of the materials used and the fit of the cover is amazing and will last for years. Also the service and delivery was excellent considering the mess the worlds is in with the virus.

Fits good, feels like good quality
This cover fits perfectly. Note that this is for the 820, not the 820D. The draw string snugs it up around the bottom. And it looks sharp - nice big white Pit Boss logo on black :) We'll see how it winters through, but it feels like a nice thick fabric, that shouldn't get brittle with cold. Very happy with both the Pit Boss Grill and this cover.

I was not very happy with this product !! The draw string does not work properly and the wind can lift it right off !! I have had to go down my street twice to retrieve it
