Nice product

Definitely not on par with Little Giant and others...
I purchased the 2-gallon waterer to go along with my other 2-gallon one that I keep in the hen house so that I could swap them out a couple of times a day during the cold, winter months. The first disappointment came when I opened the package to find that it was taller and thinner than the traditional 2-gallon waterers and was not accurately represented in the picture. I wish I had read the reviews and also been more careful in reading the description. This one is NOT designed like the Little Giant and other brands that have a spring valve. Given the narrower profile the water inside freezes faster and it also feels a bit thin and flimsy. I don't think it will last very long with being opened and closed on a daily basis but it'll do for now. I recommend spending the extra on a better quality waterer.

Decent for the price
It does what it's supposed to do. My only complaint is that it's annoying to open with the twist-lock and break the water vacuum seal. The metal hurts my hands. I wish the lip on the side was a bit larger, sometimes the water doesn't fill all the way and it looks like the chickens have a hard time reaching the water because it's narrow and shallow.
