I will admit I have yet to use this outside yet. But I have owned many Planet Bike rear lights (AAA bat), and have liked them all.

Great lights

They could be perfect....but as is, they are only close. I kind of wish they'd also have the clip style connector that my old Planet Bike Supreflash has, as well as the wrap one it has. If it had both, then it could clip to anything. With the wrap/bracelet style it has, it doesn't clip to the strap on the back of my trunk bag tightly enough to be level, it kind of hangs down a little so a lot of the light/flash is lost as it's half pointing at the ground.

Fine little blinkie

It's a nice light. Bright, with better side coverage than the original Superflash. When the battery is running low, the light only had two settings, flash and off, rather than the usual four patterns. That's handy to let you know you're due for a charge. I actually prefer the non-rechargable version for it's superior run time (I use rechargable AAA batteries in those), but the 65R has a different mount that fits better on one of my helmets, so I have both types in different applications.

Fell off and got lost on first use

I can't add a photo 'cause it's gone. The light released from the band during the first use - probably on a bump - and is gone. Apart from this, I liked the light and the band very much. Too bad they parted company.

Overpriced for what it is.

Light is bright and highly visible, but has a cheap thin plastic feel, I would not anticipate it will survive being dropped. Seems $10 too expensive.

Unreliable

The battery life indicator doesn't seem to work, and in two rain rides the unit didn't work properly: it would blink dimly but nothing near full strength. 6 month update: charging port broke, now rattling around inside the unit body.

Misrepresented, no mounting options

The Amazon listing says “Includes bike mounts and clip Mount for multiple mounting options.“ This appears to be false — it comes only with a rubber strap, which others have warned is not as secure as the other options offered, but not supplied.

Good product
