Perfect lights for my shop!

This will be a re-run of many other reviews. These lights are incredibly bright - I wish I'd had them years ago. Very lightweight and easy to install. This was the 2nd set of these I've purchased and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more if I had places that needed them. The only negatives I have concerning them are the inadequate mounting clips (I know, everyone has mentioned that!). I secured mine using a short length of wire with loops on each end. I then screwed these over the light fixture into the ceiling joists. Hardly noticeable and it's a shop, not a living room. The other confusion was the directions said to remove the film from over the lenses before installing. After not finding an edge to peel it off, I used a razor blade to scratch across it. None of the 12 lights I received had any trace of a film. They've often been on for hours and still no indication that a film is present. I suspect they quit putting it on during manufacturing and haven't changed the directions. It would be nice to have a two-way splitter available for purchase that would fit there. SinLoon makes 9.8 ft. extension cords and double female connector cords that work fine with these. SinLoon makes a two-way splitter but it is not compatible with these lights. Whatever, the lights are great!

Very nice and bright

Really bright. Easy to install. Love them. Only complaint was first order came quickly. But second order I waited like a month or more. Finally found these and ordered and was shipped to me within a week

Extremely bright, Efficient, Easy Installation

I put 2 in my bike room so I can see to work on the many small parts in odd, dark places typical of bicycles, joining 2 together with the solid extender. I'm going to put up 2 more to erase some shadows created by an odd room shape and bookshelves using the 4' dbl female-ended chord. They mount perfectly over popcorn on a popcorn ceiling as the clip mounts are designed to provide ~ 4mm of stand-off, probably for cooling, but that makes mounting over popcorn a non-issue. I also put one under my kitchen counter opposite a large window, which was a chronic dark spot in my kitchen. I used a 1x3 board to fill in the recess on the bottom of the cabinet and pre-mounted the light's mounting clips to that board before drilling down through the bottom of the cabinet and using 2 cabinet screws to hold the board in place. I could have used glue to make the mount stronger, but with these very lightweight fixtures it's just silly to do that. In both cases, being able to slide the light through the clip mounts while mounted was very useful in the final positioning, and in the case of the ceiling mount, to be able to mount the clips into my floor joists and then slide the light where I wanted it several times over a week's time. Mounting in my experience has been the weakness in all of the other lighting systems I've tried from online stores. They really nailed this one. I have to mention, the full-length aluminum fixture back is really excellent. It's there for heat dissipation, and there is some of that as they do get warm to the touch, but never hot enough to burn, but the real advantage is you can cantilever the light out past the end of a mount and not have to worry about the fixture bending or coming loose. I had to do this with my under-counter light in the kitchen and it's solid as a rock. My house was built in the late 1980s, and in that era bathrooms and kitchens were required by law to use fluorescent lighting, which I will be replacing with these, AND with a big boost in lumens and energy efficiency. The existing 80W fixtures are 2x2,500 lumens, and one of these is 8,700, so a BIG upgrade. At 145 lumens per watt, these blow past the long-standing gold standard of 100 lumens per watt with ease. I wish these lights came with 2 more wall-plug power chords, and in my case, I wouldn't need switches, but AC plug ends, as I plugged my bike room lights into a switched outlet. I also would really like these in 4,000 Kelvin for my bathrooms - hint, hint.

Very good lighting so far.

Easy to install clips. Very bright! I do wish it came with a hanging option but they still work as I wanted being flat mounted.

Buy these not those and how to hang them

I purchased two six packs after a lot of research on 48" linkable LED lighting for my new shop. I settled on these based on the light output, overall design and materials used; not just flimsy feather light plastic construction. When I saw the boxes they came in my initial thought was that they had to be seriously thin lights to fit six inside of one of those. As it turned out, they are very slim (see pic for measurement) and they interlock together giving the impression that you received two typical size shop lights packed back to back. You can see how they fit together in my pic. The lights are well made, especially at this price point, and put out quite a bit of light. You can link up to four together. I installed 12 in three banks of four in my 24 X 40 shop and they provide excellent coverage as well as a copious amount of light at a good temperature rating of 5,000K. I did not use the flimsy clips provided with the lights, which snap onto the housing and will easily pop off. Instead, I used a hydraulic crimping tool, available at Harbor Freight, and crimped threaded rod on the ends of steel cables then crimped a loop on the other end with a ferule. Next, I added an S hook with a safety catch then removed the end caps on the lights and drilled through the top the lightweight aluminum housing. I inserted the threaded rod with a nut on the outside and put another one inside to lock the rod in place. It was a lot to go through; however, I already had the crimping tool and everything except the S hooks. It looks damn professional and guaranteed not to fall down.

Super easy to set up!

I love these lights, took seconds to set up. My other lights I had to get chain and hooks etc to set it up the way I wanted so it was adjustable. These came with everything it needed and was so simple, you just stick the clips on, plug them into each other & done! They were extremely affordable and great quality will definitely be buying more to replace my other ones!
