Good product - unfortunately unit does not look new....

Seems like a good product... setup/pairing was taking multiple attempts even though the unit was sitting next to the phone. Unfortunately delivered unit had a crashed packaging inside and did not look new. Used it only once at this point. Will be doing the accuracy checks later - cannot comment on that part now.

Feindishly Difficult to Pair with Phone

Product seems fine. It took me over an hour to pair it with my phone's Bluetooth. Then I got to the phone's pairing the phone asked for a 4 digit code. I put in 0000, 1234, PYLE and iBBQ, nothing worked. I looked over the user questions on Amazon and found people with the same problem. One of Pyle S's answers was to use 0000. I tried again, no luck. I had the manual in PDF form on the screen. I kept trying 0000. I kept getting to the pairing moment where the light on the fob end of the thermometer was glowing green constantly trying to pair. Finally I discovered the magic trick: when the green light is glowing constantly, Press the pairing button yet AGAIN. Then it will pair. Not intuitive or automatic but that's the trick - press the pairing button AGAIN after the light glows a constant green.

Ok for $5

Tested with iced water and boiling water. Temp reading off by 2* Iced water 34* Boil water 210* No specs on temp accuracy on owners manual. Ok for $5!

Range is inadequate.

Compared with other similar devices, this was "so, so". Disconnects from phone when I go from the outside patio into the kitchen (8 to 10 feet).

Lasted about a year

This was a cheap way to see whether or not we needed a more expensive and more full featured bt thermometer. It worked, but was bt only and we found that having a local readout was really helpful, and then it died after a year and that was good data too. Also you need to remove the battery after each use unless you want the battery to go dead. Buying another for my next bt thermometer :)

Bluetooth range is joke

I walked into my house not 25’ and bluetooth stops working. The probe is literally 15’ from my phone inside my house and it disconnected. When my phone goes to sleep mode, the probe disconnects and any timers stop. Works fine outside but who stays outside for 12 hours to watch it.

Basura no lo compren

No es para nada exacto tiene casi 20 grados de diferencia hacia arriba , tú carne se quemará seguramente. Es una basura de artículo no lo recomiendo , fue demasiado tarde cuando me di cuenta que no sirve.

Falla del sensor temperatura

A los 9 meses de usarlo esporádicamente (1 o 2 veces al mes), el sensor de temperatura tiene un error y ahora marca desde prenderlo una temperatura de +200 ºC (a temperatura ambiente). Solicite apoyo para resetear el sensor, pero no ha habido respuesta de la empresa.

Does not work and do not buy

The probe worked on first day and on second use, it does not work. I even replaced the battery and it did not work. Feeling ripped off and now cannot return as it is 3 days outside the return period

Died during first use

Battery it came with didn't work but had a spare. During the first grill with it it just completely stopped working and looking to return it now. Doesn't read temps anymore. When it was working, range was very poor
