Great for the road!

I bought two of these, one as a present for my niece, and one for my three year old daughter for Christmas. We are honestly on the road a lot as I commute for work and the kids for school/daycare, and we also go visit family members a lot as well, and I thought this would be a perfect gift! The backpack is light, yet very sturdy and hard. You can still bend it, of course, but it is made of stronger material to keep it upright. Unlike the online picture of the packaging showing the little doll figure on the side, the backpack basically comes in a clear bag, tapped closed with no true vendor packaging. That was fine by me! One less item to have to rip apart for Christmas so the kids can get to the products. That being said, the little doll was inside the "house" once I unzipped the backpack. She was simply laying, all covered as shown in my picture, on the bottom floor. The flaps on the front of the backpack do use hook and loop closure (Velcro), and once I undid that, it was super easy to unzip, and pull the flap down to reveal the inside of the house. There is a slide that you pull up and Velcro to a small strip on the floor in the pool image. The sturdiness of this is very surprising to me! The second floor is sturdy to where the doll could sit or stand and it not buckle at all. The slide is a thin strip, still sturdy in that it does not feel like it'll come off, but, if you can't gather it from the pictures, a doll will slide to the side and just fall unless a person is holding the doll pretending it's going down the slide. The two flaps on the side do tend to curl inwards, so in my first picture I had them pushed out on a rug which gives it traction, and then when I had the front flap all the way down the two side flaps came in more. The back of the backpack has two straps, and honestly they don't feel as sturdy as the rest of the backpack, so I hope they don't break with use. I'll update later if I see any issues with that. The print all over the backpack is adorable with the pool, doggie house on the back, it's just too cute all the way around. The doll is light, and cheap, but the only issue I have is that one leg is shorter than the other. But, again, it's for a three year old, and I doubt she'd notice. It's still cute, and hey, there are people with one leg shorter, so she get's to learn more about inclusion if she asks. In all, this is cute, affordable, and a great idea for any person that is on the road a lot or visits places where there aren't any toys available.

Cute, small, portable playhouse. Were hoping for the redhead doll in the picture but got the brunette. The description said it could vary, so it was expected.

My daughter really loves this backpack dollhouse for plane travel. It fits nicely on the fold down tray and is awesome for layovers. It can also fit some extras - we have 4 dolls, 2 of their beanbags, and snacks in hers when we travel. My only complaint is the straps get easily twisted. Anyone with a preschooler knows how fussy they can be about little things like that!

Great for Travel

This is a great toy for trips. I purchased mine for a trip from Tokyo back to the states and my daughter loved it. It comes with a small doll but I bought small zipper pouches and put lots of extra toys in them. It has quite a bit a room for such a little backpack but it is definitely a toy and not meant to hold a lot of weight. I put this backpack inside of a regular backpack and still had room for my daughter's pillow, blanket and iPad.

Missing doll

So I debated returning but my daughter saw it. She’s so excited to use on outings but she was bummed the doll was not with it. Be warned the item just shows up in a bag with no packaging.

Cute idea and very unique. Every parent or grandparent that has seen this backpack dollhouse has inquired where I have purchased it and wants to buy one too. My 4 year old likes it too for playing with disney figurines, flipsies, and piny pon dolls.

So fun!

My daughter LOVES this backpack. It's fabulous for bringing places where she needs something to keep her busy but is quiet, like doctor appointments, etc. I get asked about it everywhere we take it!
