Amazing product
I wanted to knock the product because i felt it was too expensive for the low amount in the package but I can’t. It really works. I have thick wavy hair which makes it a bit tough to apply which frustrates me. Until I see the results which always significantly surprise me. It provides tons of volume and hold yet it leaves the hair soft and not crunchy. The hold lasts all day and even when it start to drop, my hair still looks natural with good volume and texture. It also smells great At the end, it is good value simply because I’d the quality of the product. This is truly top shelf

Great hair product
Love this product. Have literally tried any hair product for guys from clay to pomade to texturizers and gels and this is where it’s at. A little goes a long way and is perfect for any style for a semi finish matte look. Has a nice medium hold and hair can be restyled during the day without needing to add more product. Also smells great!

great product
I have thick medium length hair that I usually style up in a quiff/pomp style. This product provides strong all day hold without being "too strong" like a pure clay. My hair can be adjusted throughout the day with no problem. The product is super easy to apply with a creamy texture. It is also very easy to wash off your hands and hair; again unlike a pure clay. Scent is also very light, which I greatly appreciate. For some context, my favorite product is davines clay, which is currently sold out everywhere. I have been looking for a product that works similarly for years. This is the only thing that comes remotely close. I only have minor complaints. The packaging looks cheap, it also takes up more space that similar products. I can't really tell how much is in the container. It looks like it should hold twice as much product than it actually does. The hold is not as nice as the davines and the texture it provides doesn't look as nice either. I haven't used an entire jar yet so I will probably get better results over time. It's good enough for me to want to stick with this product long term to maximize the results for my hair. I also wish the price was lower. While a great product, I would rather pay the extra 2 dollars for the davines clay if it ever goes back in stock. This is a solid backup for me and I am VERY glad I gave this product a chance.

This stuff is THE BEST out there!
First, I was not paid for this review, and I did not get this product for free. I have spent HUNDREDS of dollars on clays, waxes, pomades, fibers, pastes, basically everything, trying to find the right product for my hair. I have A LOT of fine hair, so I write this only to comment on how it works with my hair. This stuff is seriously the best and my absolute favorite! I've tried everything and combined them all even to see if that gave me the result I was wanting. NOPE. If you're anything like me, before I spend money on anything I like to read reviews, and the reviews where people comment on what they've previously tried helped me the most. It let me know they were speaking from experience. Here's what I've tried: *Moroccanoil Texture Clay- 1st PLACE- Pliable, strong hold, matte finish. It seriously holds all day while still leaving my hair soft and re-workable, nice scent (some of these smell like chemically treated river water). *Layrite Cement Clay- 2nd best (the SMALLEST amount is PLENTY, SUPER strong hold- sometimes too stiff) *Hanz de Fuko- 3rd (best for medium-strong hold, or to freshen up my hair in the evening) The rest- still quality products, and I still use them to change my look from time to time, just didn't do everything that I was looking for with my hair. Baxter of California Clay Pomade, Kevin Murphy Rough Rider, Label M Matte Paste, American Crew Forming Cream, Brickell Men's Styling Clay Pomade, Suavacito, Blind Barber, BluMaan and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. In closing, I am ENDING my search...FINALLY. Moroccanoil Texture Clay is worth every penny and I will be subscribing!

Can't get over the smell
I wanted to love this because it holds my hair very well while looking completely natural. That smell though... It is smells like high chemical hairspray and feels harsh to breath in. The first day I wore it, I spent half the day fighting the feeling that I was breathing in a toxic chemical. The second day, I was more used to it but it still smelled bad. That feeling never went away and if I can't even stand how I smell, I'm not sure how other people will feel about it. I ended up switching to a grooming paste from my local barber that holds just as well and smells much better, though it seems to be twice the unit price.

Awesome
Washed my hair last night. Laid a dab in my palm. Worked it in to damp hair and brushed my thin flyaway hair back and went to bed an hour later. This morning it was still in place. My hair feels product free and yet there is maneuverable body. Honestly. What more do you need?

Beats expectations
I have tried pomades, waxes, fibers, sprays, and gels. I work as a server and my hair would be a mess at the end of a shift. No matter what I did, it seemed an uphill battle. Which is why I was very surprised with this product recommended by Robin James. Reviewers hyped it up so much I tampered my expectations, but was blown away when I finally got the chance to use it. This clay kept my hair perfect for six hours straight!! I sweat like crazy but my hair stayed well styled. The hold is super firm, but somehow pliable. I can run my fingers through the hair and restyle throughout the day as needed, but I hardly need to! And the smell was so pleasant. Not as strong as others say. AMAZING PRODUCT!!

Great for providing hold and volume
I love this product! It has great hold and adds a lot of volume to fine or flat hair. If you want a messy or styled look to last and hold all day I would recommend this product. It smells great. It is water soluble, so it washes out easily. It is not heave or greasy to weigh the hair down. This will be my go-to hair styling product from now on.

'Haired' good things about this.....
Hair type : Fine, flyaway, short - medium (male) I have tried what must amount to 100's of products by now...my hair relies on a lot of things to look ok...shampoo, how it dries, how cold/warm the air is.... Most products are too heavy for my hair, but I have learnt that a very small amount at a time certainly helps....so ... This is the most I have ever spent on a hair product but I hoped that in doing so it would stop me buying the cheaper brands and swapping from one to another in the quest for the 'one' This product smells ok...straight out of the tub it doesn't work on my hair as the clay is too thick and can drag a little ...however after several weeks of use i have discovered that heating the product (leave the tub on/near a radiator) reduces the clay into more of a cream which makes the application much better. I note that the chaps advertising this have wonderful locks of thick hair and no doubt it works well without warming it up on thick hair... but not fine hair. Depending on how applied depends on how well it holds...brushing it through gives a fairly slick (but textured) look which does hold but a pea size from palm to hair needs a few peas...and a top up during the day. Once used I think I'll try the Seven Potions..mainly to compare...but certainly one of the better ones in my overstocked hair drawer!

Excellent dry looking hold
This is the best of dozens of hair products I’ve tried. It’s light, but holds very well throughout the day. It’s also very easy to layer up by adding additional small amounts of the clay throughout the day if you want extra texture. I’m a guy with short hair. I find it works best on clean dry hair (it pulls if my hair is damp!). Use about a fingernail sized scoop and get it all over your hands, then rub roughly through the hair. Then I add a little more to get the texture effect, and shape the style. My hair is quite curly a few weeks after a cut, and I find this works best when my hair is short, or if I straighten the hair first. Smells nice, style can be reworked through the day, washes out easily. A tub lasts me at least 3 months, so it’s value for money.

Smells great but better products out there
First off it smells amazing. However when applied it dries out really fast making working with it very hard. Product description says you can apply it to dry hair but i completely disagree. I had to use a prestyler and then used this as the finishing product which did work quite well If youre someone that uses a product standalone and wants a quick and easy product then id look elsewhere.

Works well on my short/medium length straight hair
The Moroccanoil Texture clay works great with my straight, short/medium brown hair. It provides a nice, matte texture that also appears to have a light lightening quality. The clay holds well throughout the day, however, can still be moved. I apply hairspray after I have used the clay to prevent this. My hair is short to medium in length. I find that the clay works best when my hair is shorter. However, this may be down to my individual lack of skill! The clay is easy to apply and good at washing out. Be careful when applying that there are no clumps as these will, naturally, be a nightmare to get out. Overall great product and would recommend.
