Easy Install

Quick and easy to install and replace my old unit. I used the mounting bracket to get the unit off the floor compared to what the old unit was and added the foam insulator which I believe added to its noise reduction and will keep it from ‘sweating’. Will be adding the overfill alarm feature as my old unit just died and left a nice puddle (wasn’t equipped with an alarm) so another puddle can’t appear.

VCMX-20ULS-C is. Powerful, Compact Pump

Our exterior condensate drain stopped working and no amount of air from a CO2 gun or vacuum (or both at the same time) would return it's gravity flow. I installed an overhead PVC drain line into the laundry sink drain and this Little Giant VCMX-20ULS-C to feed it. Pump install was easy. One hint - after you test the overflow float switch with the backflow valve uninstalled, remember to IMMEDIATELY reconnect the valve! This little pump is powerful enough to spray the entire equipment room without the valve installed and hose attached! The equipment closet is open with a grate to the house interior. I can hear the pump when it cycles but it isn't objectionable at all. I checked the brand with my brother in the industrial HVAC business and he told me that a majority of the buildings he inspects have Little Giant pumps. That's about all the recommendation I needed.

Nice and efficient

Well worth the money thus far. East to install quiet and works well. I would suggest this to anyone needing a good small pump fpe basement. I actually ran the discharge tube over to a main drain line and installed a valve there.

TRIED AND PROVEN... BUILT TO LAST !!!

Having worked in the swimming pool industry for 20 years in the Boston area some time ago, the outfit I worked for most of that time used Little Giant pumps exclusively... especially for pool cover pumps, during winter, as rain snow and ice accumulated and to periodically pump off the cover during a thaw. I've seen these pumps get frozen in to the solid ice, and continue to work time and time again... they would "just keep on ticking" year after year. We also used them as sump pumps and for a variety of applications. There was NO job they couldn't handle as suited for the application at hand. I've had this particular model on my AC unit for about a year and a half now and it purrs like a kitten... easy install, does the job as I expected and is extremely quiet. They had a few other models available at the local "Box Stores" for about twice the cost - the advantage being of course that they were immediately available, but I didn't mind waiting another day to have this shipped directly to my door via Prime... A NO BRAINER ! TRIED AND PROVEN... From MY experience, across their ENTIRE LINE of pumps, they are SOLID, DEPENDABLE and BUILT TO LAST ! GO FOR IT. You'll thank me.

Pumps out condenstate from two furnaces

I installed one of these to pump out condensate from both a high-efficiency gas furnace, and a high-efficiency water heater. The water heater produces a bucket load of condensate every week or so, the heater furnace a bucket load about every day. We live in an area with a very high water content to the air. Both inputs are fed by gravity, so the pump has to be lower than the furnace outputs. The pump then fills and has a switch when a certain volume is reached, and the contents are then pumped about 20 feet out, and 2 feet up, to clear the garage. Gravity then draws the water into our drain. I installed this about 4 months ago, and it is working well so far. There is a grinding noise when the pump turns on, not very intrusive but it is there. Seems to be efficient, no problems so far.

Good Value

I order this pump as a warehouse deal, in "Like New" condition. The pump is in good condition, but it was missing a mount plate. That was not a problem for me, since I was going to pump it on the floor anyways. . The pump itself is working great. Very quiet and powerful. I am using it with a 20 ft tubing hose with an 18 inch rise, and the pump handled it easily. I plan to move the unit to another location that will require a 50 ft hose, which I'm sure it will not be a problem for the pump.

This Pump Works Great

I use this Little Giant pump for removing the water from the evaporator of my furnace/air conditioner. It is very easy to install and works as I expected it would. I would certainy recommend this product and it's a fantastic value.

Works great and is quiet

We had to replace the condensate pump that came with our house and wanted a 20ft pump. The one that came with the house was 22ft and was the only other one on the market - but the float was prone to failure. We came across this Little Giant one and love the design (especially with how the float is designed). It works great and is quiet as well!

Great pump. Lots of power

Much quieter than older model. Pushes water through drain hose long distance without any trouble. Easy to install. Anyone that can use a drill and screwdriver could install this pump. Excellent instructions.
