Important and easy product!

We just moved into a new home and we noticed that it didn't have a carbon monoxide detector so we immediately wanted to install one. This plug in option, with a battery failsafe, was the obvious choice. So far so good!

Bought this for a trip to Costa Rica but didn't use it. Now I'm using it in an Airbnb and it's pretty simple. Thanks to Clark Howard and his staff for recommending this. Never thought of buying one.

Easy to install

This carbon monoxide detector was easy to install. Plugs right into a basic wall outlet and has battery backup. The batteries were included! We plugged it into one of our bedroom outlets. It gives us that peace of mind as carbon monoxide is invisible. 10 year guarantee

one of three did not work

I purchased three Kidde KN COB DP2 carbon monoxide detectors. plugged them in. Two were silent and one beeped continuously. Our heating company determined that there was no carbon monoxide in the house; therefore, one unit was defective. In this case, return any defective unit to Amazon within thirty days for a refund because otherwise Kidde's warranty requires purchaser to pay for shipping, etc.

So far so good

I purchased like 4-5 of these. It’s nice to have some form of awareness if carbon monoxide enters your home. These are plug ins so you can plug up anywhere.
