4-inch door stop is perfect for protecting towel racks from getting damaged.

I needed this door stop for the bathroom door. If you measure how far the towel rack sticks out, it's approximately 4 inches, so the 3-inch doorstops from the home center are useless. Someone had previously tried to use the doorstop which attaches to the door hinge via the hinge pin, but it didn't allow the door to swing far enough. In fact, someone actually forced the door and the hinge pin door stop punched a hole in the door. This 4-inch door stop allows me to open the door just to the point where it doesn't hit the towel rack next to it. Perfect!!!!

Too small!!!

I was looking for something a little longer than a standard door stopper. Based on the question/answer and the reviews, the dimensions given are from the wall to the tip, but that is not true or at least not what I received. The total dimension is 3 3/4" from the point of the screw to the end of the white cap and the projection from the wall is only 3". This is NOT an extra long stopper and does not work for my application. So disappointed!!!

Longer is Better

We looked all around for a door stop longer than three inches, due to the way our back door works. Found this one on Amazon and it fit the bill perfectly! Thanks.
