Great water, great customer support with some minor flaws and room for improvement
So I've had this system for about 7 months and that's a sufficient amount of time to feel confident writing this review. I've already done one filter change for Stages 1-3, and 6, so I'll also touch on that experience. Now let's get onto the pros and cons of this system because there's room for improvement here and it's so close to being perfect. PROS: + Water tastes great, no more gross tap water ruining everything it touches! + Installation (Aside from the first major con - see below) was quite simple and straightforward, the instructions and the video were clear and helpful. + Replacing the filters (Stages 1-3 & 6) was straightforward and quick. Just make sure you insert the tubes as far as they can go, and turn the valve from the tank very SLOWLY to avoid getting a nice shower on the off chance you didn't insert the tube far enough or forgot to clip it! (Once I've replaced all the other filters I'll try and remember to update this review to include that experience as well) + Support is quite top-notch, they're quick to respond, helpful, and eager to please. (Thanks Sean, you are a great help!) + I live up a large hill and far away from the main water line, but no additional pump was needed. Pumps are just an additional point of failure and more money/headaches for future maintenance, best to avoid if you can, in my eyes at least. CONS: - The feed water adapter that shipped with this did start leaking shortly after installation and caused some damage to the sink cabinet floor. We took it off, wrapped it in extra Teflon tape, and tightened it very securely and it hasn't leaked since. This is the biggest weak point that I can see in the system and it seems I'm not the only one that has had issues with this little bugger. As others have suggested, it may be better to just buy a better one, but if you do use the included adapter, just keep a watchful eye on it daily for around 1-2 weeks. - Another minor issue is that no Teflon tape was included. I'm not sure why it wasn't included to save people the hassle of having to go purchase some. - The water is cloudy for a month or so and I'm guessing it's either due to the minerals that it adds and/or potentially air that gets trapped in the system, working its way out. It doesn't affect the taste, but it is off-putting to some. - The 2-yr filter replacements that I ordered didn't send enough elbow connectors, but luckily there are extras that came with the RO system that should work fine. I'm sure Sean (Customer Support) will send me some right away if I ask. CONCLUSION: I'm overall extremely satisfied with this product, the money you'll save from buying water bottles alone, makes it worth every penny. The ability to cook pasta, make stews, etc. without it tasting like chlorine & chemicals is priceless. TIP: The water in the reservoir tank will be room-temp, if you have room in the fridge for a pitcher or something similar, just fill it up with the RO water and leave it in the fridge to keep it cool. Alternatively, a smarter thing to do would be to just connect it to your fridge's water dispenser, but I was never made fun of for being smart. Also, I believe you will have to buy a separate kit that runs to the fridge and that seemed like more work than I care for.

No more bottled water!
I purchased the iSpring RCC7AK 6-Stage RO filter out of necessity when I could not purchase a sufficient quantity of bottled water at the store due to the COVID-19 shortages. Before this, I drank only bottled water because my tap water is especially rusty and full of sediment due to old pipes in my neighborhood. The tap water also had a strong smell of chlorine, metallic taste and would smell funny if stored in the refrigerator for a few days. That is no longer the case! Now, thanks to this RO filter system, I get water from the faucet that is as good as, if not better, than the water I bought from the store. I figure I'm saving at least $25 a month in water costs, which will have the system pay for itself in way under a year. Plus, no more lugging gallons of water from the store or making unnecessary trips in search of water. The system is fairly easy to install, requiring only the most basic understanding of plumbing and hand tools, albeit it helps to be flexible to get under your sink. The instruction manual is helpful, and there are several videos on YouTube to walk you through the process. All I can really say is that there's a big difference between watching someone else do it and doing it yourself. In particular, the instructional videos make it seem easier than it is because they're not shimmying under a kitchen sink with three drain lines, multiple water hoses and electrical conduits for a disposal and dishwasher. I feel the one thing either missing from or not emphasized enough in the manual is that the storage tank can be stood upright or placed on its side. This was critical for me because the tank would not fit under my sink standing up, and I have a standard 36" cabinet under my sink. My drain setup may be most of the issue - you can see how complicated it is in the pictures. Of course, what little usable space I had under the sink is mostly gone, but that's a small price to pay for clean water. Another potential issue with the instructions is with how vague they are regarding the installation of the drain saddle. It is recommended that it be placed on a horizontal section of pipe to prevent the sound of dripping water, but that's about all it says. My suggestion is to put it on a horizontal section of pipe just past the P-trap, preferably with the hole pointing straight up. Not only does this eliminate the sound of dripping water, but this might also prevent your system from malfunctioning should you get a clog in your trap, and it's less likely to leak into your cabinets if the drain saddle doesn't seal perfectly. I may be wrong about this, but I also think the videos missed the part about cutting a 45 degree angle on the waste water tubing (black tubing) to prevent the line from being blocked if it is over-inserted in the drain pipe. The instructions also walk you through a system purge to clear the lines, tank and filters. I think a combined approach from the videos and manual worked best for me. As shown in one of the YouTube videos, I disconnected the line from the third stage filter to purge the first three stages separately from the rest of the system. Then, keeping the tank valve closed, I reconnected the system and purged the last three stages. This is especially important for the systems with the Alkalinity post-filter (Stage 5). I had to purge the last three sections for 30 minutes before the water stopped being cloudy from what I assume was excess minerals coming from the Alkalinity filter. After that, I opened the tank valve, let it fill once and drained it according to the instructions. As for the hardware, my main gripe is that not all the quick connects had pre-installed, color-coordinated clips. However, the box contained a bag of extra parts that allowed me to perform the installation. I'm not sure if this was an oversight or just the way it is supposed to be. There was some water in the RO canister when I opened it to install the RO membrane. I speculate that either my filter system had been returned (possibly explaining the "missing" clips) or that the system was pressure tested prior to leaving the factory. In any event, the purge process cleaned everything up. A few other minor gripes: The filter section could use some kind of handle to lift it and for holding it while tightening or loosening the filter canisters. Perhaps this is intentional to keep you from over-tightening the connections? Also, the mounting instructions seem like an afterthought. I really can't imagine anyone mounting the filter section under their counter. It is far easier to just slide it under your sink and rest in on the bottom of the first three stages or lay the system on its back. Also, I installed the faucet in an opening in my sink originally intended for a soap dispenser that I never used. I cannot imagine most people using the included mounting hardware for the faucet, so that seems like it should have been a separate option. If it's of any importance, the faucet that came with my system is brushed nickel, but my original hardware is chrome. The distinction isn't that noticeable and I don't mind it, but it might have been nice to have an option (if there was one, I was not aware of it). My system also came with a leak detector that can shut off the flow of water to the system if water starts to pool under the sink. My leak detector uses some kind of pulp material that absorbs water and expands to shut off the flow. It's very low-tech, but that may be a good thing. Some of the videos I saw showed systems with a battery-powered leak detector. Of course, batteries can wear out. Still, an option between the two might have been nice. I did not install the leak detector, so this is just an observation. Overall, I am very pleased with the system despite my concerns and observations. The system is simple and sturdy. The water is creates tastes great and looks crystal clear. My only regret is not having purchased it sooner.

Great kit with a couple of minor flaws
EDIT: I'm about 1 year into owning this system and it's still going strong. No leaks, no issues other than the minor inconveniences I've mentioned in the original review below. -- From start to finish, the overall install took about 3 hours. It probably would have been much shorter, except that I've never done a plumbing project in my life, and I took my time and read through the instructions carefully. First off, the quality of the components seems pretty good, except for one part in particular, which I'll talk more about below. Everything that came pre-assembled was done so properly, there were no leaks and nothing was connected wrong. The quick fit adapters are great since you don't need any tools to get all of your tubing runs connected. I can see them becoming disconnected relatively easily if you just yanked on them accidentally, but with the system tucked away under the sink, that's very unlikely to happen. I did try giving each tube a bit of a tug after the water was turned back on and the system was pressurized, and they held up. There is one exception, though - the feed adapter (T adapter that you install inline with your faucet cold water feed) that came with the kit was terrible. Just looking at the part when I took it out of the box, I had a feeling it would leak, and it did. Funny enough, when I added this kit to my cart, Amazon recommended that I buy the "iSpring AFW43 Water Systems Feed Water Adapter", as other people who bought this kit had also bought that replacement part. So, I already had it ready to go! (I thought the kit didn't come with it, so I bought it alongside the kit). The replacement adapter works great and is better quality. This is the primary reason why I've docked 1 star - I think the kit should have just come with this better quality adapter in the first place. Other than that, installation was relatively straight forward. Here are some things you'll need if you've never done something like this before: - Titanium drill bits (or diamond or tungsten carbide) up to 1/4", as well as a steel punch, if you're going to be drilling through a stainless sink for your faucet. Do not cheap out on drill bits, you'll likely ruin anything not up to the task of drilling stainless steel. - Safety equipment. Goes without saying, but don't be dumb. As a minimum, wear eye protection when drilling metal. - Yellow / marine Teflon tape. I actually have no idea why this kit doesn't come with it, but you need it to seal the connection/threads to the water storage tank. It's an easy pickup at your local hardware store. - Mounting hardware. So I didn't bother mounting my kit even though I have the space to do so, primarily because it's pretty hefty even before you have water running in it. Mounting the rail alone would cause stress on the initial three filters and housings and would probably eventually cause leaks. So if you plan on mounting the system, plan on installing your own little shelf or something for the system to sit on, and *then* screw the bracket into the side of your cupboard or wall or whatever to provide stability. Hanging the system by itself with no support underneath is probably a very bad idea and a bad design (though they admit this in the instructions lol). - Carefully follow instructions on how to prepare the system before using it. You need to pre-run the first three stages into a bucket to clean out the filters. You do NOT want that crap flowing into your RO filter. Then, run the system with the storage tank OFF and let it dribble out of the open faucet for 15 minutes to clear out the RO filter. Then run the system with the tank ON and fill up the tank, and then open the faucet and dump the entire tank to clean out the tank. Don't just install and drink, or you'll be in for a nasty surprise! Aside from installation, the system works great. The water taste is absolutely perfect, no more garbage tap water. I've made a few cups of coffee already and the taste difference is quite noticeable.

Excellent product, and great service and support
I have had my ispring reverse osmosis water system RCC7AK, now for approx 3 years, and I have been impressed with the water quality and taste of the filtered water. (Removing chloride, fluoride and other harmful chemicals and metals within the tap water). Recently, I discovered that there was a leak from the body, (hairline crack). I sent an email, with a photo and short video to ispring, for advice on getting replacement part. To my great surprise and relief, all I had to do was send proof of my order (via Amazon). And they shipped out to be a new replacement package. So I now have my filtered water system up and running again. So a big thank you to iSpring. I definitely would highly recommend there product and customer service..

Great customer service
Good water filter system. Unfortunately, one of the cartridges had developed a leak and was quickly replaced by the manufacturer. Would definitely recommend based on my experience.

Good product, would recommend
I just installed the water system a few weeks ago. It’s working well and I’m pleased with it. Installation was easy and there are instructions online in the form of YouTube videos that are helpful. I do have an issue with the faucet that seems to be dripping from the handle, but I was in contact with customer service, and they said they would ship me a new faucet right away. My only question about the system has to do with the speed at which the tank fills up, which is very fast. Of course it’s great that the tank fills up very quickly, but I was under the impression that the reverse osmosis membrane should slow down the flow into the tank quite a bit. Hopefully the membrane is doing what it’s supposed to be doing but I have no way of knowing for sure. It’s excellent value and I’m pleased that the replacement filters are so easy to order and inexpensive.

Missing connectors
This is a good kit because I like having a larger filter pack so that I don't have to keep buying one filter at a time. Only issue I had with this is it did not have any connectors for the alkaline and the FT15 filter in the box as expected. I contacted iSpring Support, got a response from Nick the next day, who has very promptly arranged to get these shipped to me. Would not hesitate to buy again!
