Annoying Hum, but Good Airflow

I like the unit, it moves a lot of air and airflow can be reversed without having to manually flip the unit. That being said, it does have an annoying hum on all but the high setting. Mine is a refurb unit, perhaps a new unit doesn't do this. Additionally, I use it in the rear of my house, so the noise doesn't bother me. The louvers almost cover my double-hung windows. Nice cross-ventilation when I crack the front windows. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase.

No problems after 6 plus months

I use this to vent my mancave of pipe smoke. Its loud but so is any fan at maximum speed. At 5' I clock it in at about 50db on low and 60db on high. That's about a quiet office or street on low and normal conversation on high. Since its white sound you soon forget about it if you've used a full sized box fan before. Mine is mounted sideways behind a screen. I'd recommend insulation strips to block any gaps. Since its behind the screen, sound bounces back so the actual sound level would be lower without one, but this keeps determined bugs out and light rain out. If I had to muster a complaint its that it loses its settings if there's a power outage and doesn't automatically turn back on when the power comes back on.

Good window fan

Does a good job of cooling the bedroom down fast. I like that it can be set to either a temperature or regular speed setting. Usually use the speed settings as I feel like the temperature is a little finicky. But overall it does what you need a window fan to do.

Great on High

Great air circulation when set to high. HOWEVER, there is a buzzing on Low and Medium, and after replacing one from a previous order I am convinced it is a design flaw rather than a defect. Overall this is a pretty nice window fan and came in handy when our air conditioning went out. What a lifesaver!

Moves lots of air!

Great fans to have in the kitchen or living room area. Able to move air in and out of the rooms and it can be felt. Assembly is easy and base feels sturdy.

Powerful but loud

Very powerful fan! I didn’t think a noisy fan would bother me, but does a little bit, which is why I took a star away.

Wow, so powerful and loud

This fan is definitely powerful, this will keep you cool. I have it on low and it is cooling the room... However, this is much louder than white noise and it is on low. Just need to keep in mind what you need it for. I can sleep through the noise, no problem. But if you need quiet, this is not for you. Oh, and there is no remote control, so not sure why I am asked to rate it.

It's pretty good.

So the reason I give this four stars is because I had a very similar fan for the same price before it broke and that one pushed significantly more air while also being half as loud. This fan is still pretty good but it could be better. Just know it's fairly loud. Not like you can't hear the tv loud but you will need to turn the TV up some.

Great fan but the "feet" are a little awkward.

This fan has been pretty good. It is a bit noisy on the highest settings, but 90% of the time I use the lowest setting as it is quite powerful. I'm giving it 4 stars because the feet make it very difficult to use in our side sliding windows and it has fallen out. Now I roll up a towel underneath it to keep it stable which really isn't ideal.

Effective but noisy

The fan works really well. I like that it has the two blades so it can pull outside air in AND exhaust air out - it really helps keep the air circulating. The problem is it's too noisy. As a result this item is not a good choice for the bedroom if you intend to run it while you are sleeping. I think this is a better choice for the kitchen where the efficiency is welcomed. It would be fine to use overnight in the living room too when people have gone to bed and the noisiness wouldn't interfere with living room socializing or sleeping.
