Door Needs to Be Flush To Work

I had to return these because my door and door frame were not flush. I didn't realize this issue until I went to install the Security window and Door Alarm. For the alarm to work as intended, there has to be complete contact between the piece on the frame and the alarm itself. My door and door jam has a .3 cm difference, so there wasn't a good contact. Hopefully this is a helpful tip.

Good but not universal for all doors...

These work great with our windows but not on our patio sliding door. Our trim is beveled so there's no way to apply the alarm or the contact piece and get this to work flush with each other. It's not as loud as I would like but it'll do for now. It did come with batteries so that was nice.

Don't expect these loud alarms. Not really that loud

Like batteries come in them, but make sure take cover off and remove little plastic tab. I dislike that they aren't really that loud. They'd have to go off a long time, like car alarms are louder, and most people do nothing unless it's annoying them for a long time or they see something

Works great for my toddlers bedroom window. Didn’t realize that they had button batteries in them so just made sure they were high enough out of reach for him. The alarm is loud!

Peace of Mind

From where I used this device, I cannot really hear it inside, but it is a loud enough deterrent. If you are next to it when the alarm mode is going off, it’s super loud. I use this in an apartment. I would recommend and buy again.

I've had these before and I absolutely love them. I am hard of hearing and I can definitely hear these. My Chihuahua starts barking immediately. I would order my many more.

For a GE product, appears to be lower quality

The on off button does not work smoothly, which for a GE product at the price on Amazon is not acceptable. The overall quality of the plastic is acceptable but not great + for the price it should be much better
