Lots of research, tried several, had this for a month and so am happy with it.
As I said, I researched a lot looking at Jura, DeLonge (sp?), others, had a Spinn. I tried several and settled on this machine. I very much relied on the front water and puck access. As much as I did/am the screen (be sure and peal off the protective realistic label on it). We mostly use it for “coffee” and espresso but liked the choices. Had it for a month so still assessing it. Seems not as durably built as Jura. No WiFi like the Spinn. Grips: too small of a water container but not a deal breaker, be nice if it could be plumbed; slightly small bean container but again not a deal breaker.; changing the grind levels is cumbersome at best but we have set it and forgot it; heat can be controlled but I like HOT so could be higher (partner likes it fine as is). Hope that helps with the addition of don’t be as obsessive as I was, they all the job lol.

An investment that's well worth it
I bought this machine a year and 7 months ago. I wanted to take my time with this machine and not just go off the first uses. I'll start off by saying I was that person that was going to big chain coffee everyday, sometimes 2-3 times a day. If you're getting a specialty drink that's like $5. So imagine $5 × 365 days = $1,825. That's only if you're grabbing 1 drink! That's not including any snacks or food items one might grab too. This machine is an investment that will pay itself overtime. You can control the coffee you're using, the roast, buy or make your own syrups to lessen your sugar intake, make it strong or weak, control the volume, control what type of milk or plant based milk you'll use, you can support small independent coffee roasters in the US or other parts of the world. There is just so much on your control that it makes you regret wasting that much money on big coffee chains. Coffee was ruined for me when I went abroad. American big name brand coffee is just so burnt. I can get my favorite Spanish and Italian roasts and it reminds me of my time abroad. Take care of your machine. Clean it weekly. You'll also have your monthly cleaning as well. Every couple of months I clean the burr grinder with Urinex SuperGrindz and the brew unit with Urinex Cafiza. Some of the options aren't interesting to me. Flat whites, the XL drinks, or cafe au lait. I am glad it has a cortado though. Even though you have an option to change the grind settings you'll find that a coarser grind will leave a sludgy mess in your puck disposal drawer. You also have an option for other coffee in the off-shot deposit, I mostly use it for preground decaf at night. Though I do use it a few times for other coffees that aren't in my hopper. I had to buy a hand burr grinder for that, but it's nice to have an option to switch up the flavor. The machine cost less now. I think $600 less than when I bought. If you have the cash you can wait for the new Gaggia Accademia that they will be releasing. If not this is also worth the money.

Makes excellent espresso
Love it but the milk pitcher is a pain to clean.

Now this is espresso
I tried others, they seemed bitter, but they all had aluminum boilers. The Gaggia Cadorna Prestige has a stainless-steel boiler, and I think it makes a great difference. The drinks it makes are all superb, the milk boiler creates excellent foam, and the espresso is full of crema and more in the offing, if desired, by making the grind finer. I am just starting to get into the customizations. This is really an excellent espresso maker. The flavor of everything is the utmost of good. The maintenance is fine. I just love it, and it is made in Milan, Italy, how cool is that!!

Well worth the investment...!
1+ months into owning this machine, and we are very happy with its performance, taste, features, etc. The default coffee drinks are great - and - you can modify them to taste. The machine's milk craft that removes for storage in the fridge is well designed but takes a bit of practice to seat it in the machine. It saves us coffee beans (and $$) because now we never over-make and have to throw half a carafe away. It does generate much excess water, which collects in the tray - every start-up and shut-down, it goes through a short cleaning cycle. The case is plastic, but it is heavy and well-designed. Fits well under our cabinets. A++ for the quality of drinks, price, build, and look!

Easy and flavorful coffee It does exactly what it says.
The media could not be loaded. All I wanted was a good coffee maker without the hassle of using the wand. I worked in fine dining years ago and I still remember how much I hated making capuccinos (it takes a lot of patience and TIME). Unlike a lot of baristas, I don't want to perfect the craft, or spend 10-15 minutes getting a cup of coffee in the morning, and still I wanted something better than my old drop down 35 dollar GE. Then I came across a few brands and this was my ultimate pick for several reasons. After testing it, I realized my dreams came true: Having a way above average caffeinated drink, without all the hassle. The interface is the easiest ever, everything is touch and intuitive, and the machine guides you on how to clean etc. it's beyond amazing how easy it is to use. Delonghi makes great coffee too, but the menus are not streamlined or easy so this won at the end. (I got the prestige with the milk carafe). This is my summary of this beautiful piece of Italian appliance: -14 restaurant quality drinks at the press of a button. -Attention to detail in the style and build if you're into that. Thank Italians for that. -By far the easiest interface in most coffee manufacturers. Fairly easy to assemble too. You can save favorites etc if you like your latte stronger, more milk and so on. -decently priced for what it does. It will pay by itself in the near future since I'm saving trips to starbucks. -Fully automated. Not for hardcore snobs. If you want to do everything manual and go down the 3000+ dollar coffee making rabbit hole, by all means.

Highly recommend this one.
This machine is perfect for my needs and super easy to use. It is my 3rd machine over the course of 2 months. My favorite feature is that the coffee temperature is hot!! That was 1 of my key requirements.

Very Happy
Totally awesome machine. Easy to use. I’m in love. The only caveat is that you must use the froth milk option if you want milk in your coffee as only then is it truly hot hot. Works great doing that. Large investment, but I’m very happy with it. Was excited to share this review.
