Fun but Not Durable

Hi! This is a really fun product. The kids really enjoy using it to look under water at water bugs and the light is a great feature. However, it gets 1 out of 5 for durability :( On the first time using it, one got dropped by accident and the insides came apart. We are unable to be put back together. If this is a product intended for kids it needs to be more durable.

Unique for a gift

Gave this a Xmas present for my niece- I love giving unique and learning experience type items- she loved this BUT as a gift I was disappointed when it arrived from Amazon looking like it had been tossed around and previously tried to be open or something- I felt kinda crappy giving it as a gift like they might have thought it was used. Didn’t have time for a new one but she loved the idea anyways

I got this for my kids and use it myself!

I got this for my kids’ science classes, but use it myself as much as they do. It is designed for underwater, but we use it for anything we want to see up close. The light works really well so we can see fabric fibers and bugs up close It is very easy to focus, so kids don’t get frustrated.

Neat scope

We tried this in our pond today. We didnt think it was going to work until we figured out you focus it by moving the eye piece in or out. Then it worked fine. Has a light though i dont understand why the battery compartment is at the bottom where it will be submerged? Has a temp read out as well. My daughter likes it but we wont be able to use it much till its warmer.....

Decent value but not perfect

We use underwater viewers at work and needed a few more. These weren't too expensive and seemed like the answer. Unfortunately, there's no hook to attach a wrist strap - a necessity if kids are going to be holding the viewer. We've lost a few viewers without wrist straps. Also, it would be better to have a fixed scope rather than a telescoping one for less breakage.

Broke instantly

Upon putting the viewing end into about 5 inches of water (far far below the maximum depth line) the scope took in water. We though maybe it was intentional until it caused the lights to short out. The scope is basically overpriced trash. I have already thrown all packaging and materials away so I can't even return it. Will not buy this brand again.

Not worth it.

This is nothing more than a toy. You will keep adjusting the sight looking for a clear scope, which will never happen. Keep an understanding that it’s only 5x. I’m sure there are better products out there for the cost.
