Helps me continue to soak in the tub!

I had been looking for this..love to soak in the tub but when you live alone it is very frightening to not be able to get out of the tub..This works!

I am unsure of the sturdiness

The shape of the grab bar is good. It appears to be easy to hold on to but I could recommend several improvements to the base that secures to the tub. I cannot recommend this bar yet.

Bathtub grab bar

This grab bar is great but it takes up a lot of space on the side of the Bathtub

nice

installation is not bad , you have to loosely assemble ,place over edge of bath then tighten 'you are going to need a box wrench, it does stay put though, solid feel, use care on a fiber glass tub !!!!

A bit difficult to install.

Bigger and heavier than expected, but that's a good thing! The instructions don't tell you that you have to back out the bolt they put in to adapt it to the width of your tub side. This takes a tool from your stash, an adjustable wrench. The bolt they left you with takes patience and dexterity to get right. Read instructions carefully but insert your own knowledge to complete the job. Also two extra hands didn't hurt. Beware this took up half the length of my tub. So I placed it at opposite end of faucets. Which direction you have the high part facing is up to you. There's no indication in the directions.

It’s a bit challenging to install

I still haven’t been able to install this thing after having it for several months & I guess returning it wasn’t an option b/c it’s considered a personal use item? So it’s living in the box in my closet and I can’t seem to figure out how to put it up

works update: dangerous

Updated review: I was getting out of the tub when this thing collapsed and fell to the floor. Fortunately my reflexes kicked in fast and I managed to grab hold of the tub and no go down. Examination quickly showed that one of the pads had come off and when it did the clamp fork bent and the unit died. Original review: The house I'm in right now has an old very hard cast iron tub. Don't want to fall in that! After I got out the hospital lifting my legs is very difficult and my balance not great. So I took a shower lost my balance and grabbed the shower head...saved me from a disaster but it partially broke and I need to hire a plumber. I installed this unit it was easy enough though I'm a tool user. Was able to adjust it until I found a position I liked. Now I can safely though slowly get in and out to my shower chair I suspect it has probably saved my life more than once.
