Smaller than I expected but nice enough! Designed more for right handed children!
I had a wooden Montessori set of sandpaper letters and numbers that I used with my first two children. When my second two children came along, I no longer had my wooden set. I saw that these were much more economical than the wooden set, so figured I would try these. These cards are much smaller than your typical Montessori sandpaper tracing letters; more comparable to a deck of cards (just a tad bit larger). The individual cards are a thick paper-board-type material and the sandpaper letters are attached well. I am definitely more observant of my children using them though because they are not as durable as wooden ones would be. With the sandpaper letters being on the smaller side, my children do have to trace very carefully to stay on the lines. There are numbered arrows to show how to trace, but my two 4 year olds are not very observant of those clues just yet. Also, there is a dot in the lower left-hand corner of the cards which I assume is a visual reminder for right-handed children to hold the card there while tracing with the other hand. Because my two youngest children are left handed, the dots aren't helpful to us and there isn't a designated spot to show them where to hold the card with their right hand while they trace with their left. It isn't a critical issue, but one I noticed; it would definitely be easier to tell righties to hold it on the dot as a reminder but that quick verbal reminder isn't an option for lefties without drawing a new dot for them or adding a sticker. The cards come in a thick box with a lid that slides easily on and off; so it's great for storage and, even for preschoolers, it is easy to access the cards. We bought the number set that matches the uppercase and lowercase letter set, and I keep them on their shelves of activities they can choose from each day. I believe this set will still be in good enough condition to pass on after my two children are finished with it. However, if I were using this in a classroom and/or with children who would routinely be using this independently, I think I'd opt for a wooden set for better durability. For at-home or teacher-monitored usage though, I think these are a great way to save a little money!

Tactile Writing practice
My youngest is a COVID era child. They lost some valuable school hours because of staying at home. To help build writing skills I got these. Just an interesting way to practice letter and number writing. They are pricey though but worth it just an easy way to have tactile writing.

Very good set
These are durable cards! I did not know about these until a teacher mentioned them to me. I thought they were pricy considering they were just alphabet cards. However, when we received them you could tell they were quality made. The sandpaper is rough, as it should be so you can feel the pattern of the letter from the card backing. We practices drawing the letter on a piece of paper and an iPad by following the stroke guides. I think it really helped.

Good, but incomplete
I use these with my 2.5 yo to review the letters and practice tracing. There is no lower case q in my set (there is a backwards looking j, so I think they forgot to add part of the letter).

Good for at home montessori learning!
I love the thickness of these cards and how well they can be reused! We use them for Montessori learning, in our home, and they are just the right size for tiny hands!

Great, thick cards
Great and just what I wanted! Only complaint is that the cards leave scratch marks on the others very easily.

Learning tool
My son uses these letters with kinetic sand for tracing. He loves it and is learning his letters.

Not Montessori
They are a bit smaller than I had hoped and I needed cursive for Montessori method, which these clearly are not.
