Absorbency padding
The surface area of these pads is suitable for an averaged sized adult. The absorbency is excellent as the top layer takes in the liquid and doesn't let it out through the back of the pad. The comfort of the pad is a plus also. Normal machine wash with no softeners? I can do that. I bought two. I'm buying more.

Amazing game changer
I put this under the fitted sheet so when my kids have an accident I only have to wash the sheet and this, not the entire mattress cover.

These are awesome!!
These are awesome!!! Both of my kids wet the bed (currently 6 and 11 years old, its genetic) and I have been using these pads for them for a couple years now. I finally had to replace them because the waterproof layer started to crack on the back of one of them (I noticed it after pulling it up of the dryer after the most recent wash with bleach). I assumed the other one would follow soon so I replaced both. To give you an idea of how durable these things are, they were washed 4 to 5 times a week for almost 2 years. I would usually wash them with delicates and dry them on low. But once every couple of months a would throw them in with a load of whites with bleach to remove any stains or lingering smells that had started to occur. Through all of those washing the pads never leaked until the very end and that was only because I had to continue to use the one that had started to crack for a couple nights until the new one arrived.

Great for menorrhagia
I am perimenopausal and have very heavy menses. These keep my sheets from getting ruined and they wash up perfectly. They are also comfortable to sleep on. They can slip around on the bed if you're a restless sleeper and roll over a lot. But otherwise they are perfect for my needs.

I got this for my sons bed. I noticed he wasnt wetting his overnight diaper and he told me he didn't need the diaper. So- when we ran out of his diapers I laid this on his bed. I kept waiting for him to wet the bed so I could write a review about the absorbency. He has not wet the bed yet. I will update after an accident. The pad itself does not have an odor. I washed and dried it before using. It did very well. The package says no fabric softener though. It fits PERFECTLY on the toddler bed under the fitted sheet. It will cover the entire toddler bed.

GOOD PRODUCT
I HAVE MOBILITY CHALLENGES THAT MAKE PUTTING FITTED SHEETS ON MY BED DIFFICULT. SO NOW AFTER CHANGING THE SHEETS, I PUT THE COMFORT SHIELD ON THE SIDE OF THE BED I SLEEP ON. THEN I CAN WASH THE COMFORT SHIELD ONCE A WEEK WITHOUT HAVING TO STRUGGLE CHANGING THE FITTED SHEET SO OFTEN. ANOTHER BENEFIT IS THAT IT LAUNDERS WELL. ORDERED A SECOND COMFORT SHIELD FOR A FRIEND WHOSE ELDERLY DOG HAS WETTING ISSUES DUE TO DIABETES, AND IT'S WORKING WELL FOR THEM, ALSO.
