Good Medium Weight Jacket

This is a nice lightly insulated jacket comfortable for 40-50 degree temperatures for general use, or in colder weather for walking or other moderately active use. A small complaint is that the side elastics at the hem are too relaxed, and it would have been nice to have fleece in the pockets on the back of your hand side. Fit is good with medium large enough for up to a 42 chest unless you want room enough to wear a vest underneath.

Quality Jacket

Very happy with this purchase for my husband. He is cold natured, so he needs fleece on inside, but when the fleece is on the outside of jacket, it always looks messy and has to be washed more often because it picks up stuff in nature. With this jacket, we are both happy. He stays warm, and I do less laundry.

Nice and warm but alittle big!!

I usually wear medium but I ordered small cuz I know Columbias clothes are bigger than usual, the small size runs a little big still a warm jacket and nice looking , I wish the nylon was softer !!

Light jacket, ok if you're layering. By itself it isn't warm.

Nice late fall and early spring jacket

Nice comfortable jacket of medium weight. Here in New England, it's good for late fall and early spring weather. It's not warm enough for cold winter days. I have not worn it in the rain yet and so cannot speak to its water resistance. I sometimes need a size medium and sometimes a size large. This jacket fits in large; it would not fit in medium. It has two nice handwarmer pockets and one chest pocket good for storing a cell phone. It has a nice fleece lining. I gave it four stars rather than five stars because it has no internal pockets. UPDATE: I've worn it in light rain a few times and it kept me dry each time.

Unclear on Sizing

I got a Columbia Ascender in medium a while back which fit PERFECTLY. So I got this one in medium, and it is WAY too big. The sleeves are at least 5" too long. I'm 5'7" and 155 pounds. Must return. Nice jacket, though.
