OMG - wrong color was sent!!

I’ve bought the kit a few times. Color is very natural looking and good grey coverage. This time the shampoo and conditioner were missing, though. And after seeing the price difference between the kit and buying just the color, I feel ripped off with having the shampoo and conditioner missing. Too late to return because you figure this out when you’re in the midst of prepping to color and your greys are showing. No time to wait for a replacement on a return to come. So I went ahead and started putting the coloring on my hair. First impression was this very light color cream, the color of straw is lighter than I recall from the last time. I’m thinking they must’ve change the formula. By the time I was halfway done covering my route, it had turned to a violet color on my head. I continue coloring for a minute or two thinking, well, they always say the color on your head is not necessarily indicative of the color it will become. When I finished my roots, I thought let me grab that coloring to back out of the trashcan, just to be safe. And lo and behold I had put Blue black on my head!!! This is not the natural blonde that was supposed to be sent, that would’ve faded into the hair I have. I immediately jumped in the shower, and tried to wash it out, but it did not wash out after being on less than ten minutes. ???????????????????? Ordered replacement box to try to fix my color and AGAIN GOT THE WRONG COLOR. BUYER BEWARE— NATURAL BLONDE IS SHIPPING WITH THE RIGHT STICKER ON OUTSIDE AND WRONG COLOR INSIDE— YOU WILL GET BLUE/BLACK!!! Now two boxes to return— what a hassle!! Can’t trust that the next will be correct. Switching companies!

Great gray coverage but a gamble on what color you’ll end up with!

This accomplished covering my grays but color is WAY OFF. Packaging provides no visuals for the color, so there really is no way to tell what the color should look like based on your current coloring. I ordered a golden blond, so I could keep my highlights vibrant while covering my grays and I ended up with all over chocolate brown. I guess it works for Winter but I’ll definitely be going with another brand come Spring to fix the unfortunate darkening I experienced.

Loving my results!

I’ve been wanting to try Better Natured Hair Color for a long time and I am very pleased with my results! I love the fact that the kit comes with everything you need for a mess free application. The Color Barrier Cream kept my skin from getting stained during the coloring process. The shampoo and conditioner had a great fragrance and the conditioner had very nice slip to get through any tangles I had. The Hair Color remover wipe was great to have to catch any residual color left behind. The coverage is amazing and the process was super easy! I would totally recommend people to try Better Natured Hair Color Kit!

Great when they send the right color

The only qualm I have is they sent me the wrong color. I wanted to a natural blonde they sent me a very dark brown. I didn’t notice until after applying. The product took my hair well covered every single grey hair. It does have a bit of a ammonia smell. My hair is soft not damaged from the dye. I’m waiting to see how long this will last, if it lasts along time I will def buy from them again. Their packaging is absolutely gorgeous

Awesome hair dye!!

So I’ve been getting blonde highlights at the salon for almost 10 years, and I’ve reached a season of life where I just can’t keep up with going to the salon every 12 weeks and spending $150+. I figured my hair could also just use a break from all the bleaching, so I decided it was time to go back to my natural hair color (a light brown with reddish undertones). I found Better Natured through some searches on more natural hair dyes, and I decided to test them out! I landed on the shade 7N Medium Natural Blonde, as it looked similar to the color of my roots, and since my hair tends to soak up like crazy any product/dye put on it, I definitely didn’t want to go too dark with the color. It ended up turning out amazing!!! My hair feels soft and smells great after using the dye and included post color shampoo / conditioner packets!! The undertones of this color are definitely very neutral, I probably should’ve mixed this color with a warmer blonde to get a “perfect” match but I am still thrilled with how close to my root color this turned out. Would highly recommend!!

I used it to cover old highlights

I used this to save money because I can't order to go to a salon right now. My highlights were looking really brassy and weird and I was ready to go back to a more natural brown. I used the 4N medium natural brown. I think it worked pretty well. I only needed to cover the dye near the bottom of my hair but I went ahead and applied it to the roots as well to cover my silver hair. I didn't really like the scent but there's not much you can do about that with permanent hair dye. I think I should have left it on a bit longer because I can still slightly see some of the highlights underneath but overall I am pleased with the results and I don't blame the hair dye for that because it was me who should have left it on maybe about 10 minutes. Anyway I also had issues with the dye staining my skin. The wipes were not very helpful but that could also be on me because I should have wiped the excess dye off before it dried onto my skin. I am pleased with the color but my natural color is a very dark brown close to black it doesn't bother me. However if you are trying to avoid going too dark maybe pick a lighter shade.

Irritated my eyes.

For a product that claims 91 % of naturally derived ingredients, it has a strong chemical scent. It’s the only product in many years that has irritated my eyes. I also didn’t like the fact that it comes with a lot of unnecessary packaging. Please consider wasting less paper. Another think I didn’t like about this product is that the developer comes in a pouch. I have very short hair and use only 1/2 of both, developer and colorant each time I color my hair. I had two use the entire 2 oz. since I had no way to save 1/2 of it. I would never recommend this product.

I really like this brand usually, but this didn’t cover my gray hair at all. Disappointed
