I have not had a chance to stick it in my 15 gal cauldron of chili yet, but I was very pleased to find this is one solid piece of wood. No part is glued or has seams that would compromise its integrity after just a few uses. I fully expect this to be the last stirring paddle I ever purchase.

Great paddle.
Long enough to keep my hands away from the heat and stirs well without scraping the metal. I can leave it in the pot during boil and the handle never gets hot unlike metal. It also helps keep the wort head down and is easy to keep clean.

Quality hardwood product
Unlike other large wooden paddles, this one is made of maple wood. It is straight-grained and has no knots or other flaws. This one does not suffer from the problems raised by reviewers of similar but less expensive items.
