Way better than expected- works great on pex and other tubing

I love these- I wasn’t sure because of the price but pleasantly surprised they are sharp, sturdy and make a nice straight (perpendicular) cut.

Decent but tricky to get straight

I like this cutter and it's much more sturdy than I expected. My gripe is that it can be tricky to get a straight cut on shorter lengths of PEX. Good for the occasional DIYer, just try to cut longer lengths when you can.

Worked great with smaller diameter tubing

Seems nice and solid. I've used it with smaller diameter tubing (e.g., 3/8" OD) -- nothing larger.

Perfect for at home DIY

I probably wouldn’t get these if it was my profession. But for an average regular person like myself doing some diy here and there, these are great and worth every cent.

Cuts through PVC like butter

These cut nicely and are easy to use. When considering the maximum size of pipes it can cut, you need to pay attention to the outer diameter (OD) of the pipe you want to cut. I've only tested up to 1" OD (about 24mm) pipe but there appeared to be a lot of room to spare. "42mm" is embossed on the side of this tool (suggesting the maximum pipe OD) and according to my quick measurement (pictured), that is about accurate. This means that the largest OD this can take is perhaps 1 5/8 inch (1.625 inch), or about 42mm.

Good pipe cutter PEX up to 25mm only

This is a decent pipe cutter from Amazon Basics. It’s made of metal, including the handle and feels strong but still fairly lightweight, with a very sharp cutting blade. It cuts pipes up to 1 inch, around 25mm. It’s fine for a 22mm pipe but too small for 28mm I found, which is a shame. It does a good job of cutting smaller pipes cleanly and with minimal effort. You will need about 10-12mm of clearance if cutting against a wall. I haven’t tried it for anything but PEX pipe. It didn’t come with any paperwork and the product description on Amazon is not available at the time of writing so I’m not sure if it is recommended for use with other types of plastic pipe as well, like PVC. Based on other, similar cutters in our toolbox I would expect to pay around £10 for this, it’s a solid bit of kit that should last.

Feels a bit flimsy but works well

I got this Ratcheting Plastic Pipe Cutter for my husband's DIY plumbing projects. The cutter feels robust although one has to put some muscle into it to cut plastic pipe. The ratcheting action helps make the cutting quite a bit easier. The only downside I could see is that, when releasing the blade after having ratcheted it closed, the cutter jumps fairly forcefully. It's a bit concerning at first but one soon gets used to it. I've given four stars because of this but otherwise it's a sound product.

Good quality one

This is very good plastic pipe cutter,doing very good job and its very helpful,size is from 1/8-inch to 1-5/8-inch.I use couple times allready and never any problems with this product.Good quality for sure worth to spend any penny for it.

Strong sharp pipe cutters

These 1/8 inch to 1 inch Amazon basics pipe cutters were delivered in their own box . They are made from stainless steel and really quite heavy considering how small they are . The pipe cutting blade is sharp enough to get through copper piping with ease . Good quality tool for the tool box happy to recommend

This Amazon PEX pipe cutter is very good quality made,very helpful and easy to use.From 1/8-inch to 1-inch,this is great cutter.I use couple times allready and working great with no any problems. I'd spend any money for this product for sure.
