This Silver, Glass Gazing Ball Is Simply Beautiful...

Once upon a time, I had a pair of these Glass Gazing Balls and during a move, one of the workers broke one of the balls. I never dreamed that I would be able to find another just like it, because I had purchased the pair almost 20 years ago and while I was living in another State even. One day, on a whim, I performed a search on "Amazon" and sure enough... POP there it was the precise mate to the one I still had remaining. Alpine provided me with this wonderful Glass Gazing Ball. Alpine is one of the only companies that still offer these Balls in Glass too. Most others provide them in painted stainless steel, having nowhere near the Sheen that Glass offers. Thank You Alpine and Thank You Amazon. A Happily surprised client.

I recd this with a few pits and blemishes also must have been sitting for a long time for it had a foggy finish.

Silver Globe 10"

The globe has several flaws in the coloring. I'm using it inside instead of outside. I tried putting the best side in front but there's a lot of little scars in the coloring. I hope the red one I ordered is in better condition when it arrives.

It's OK for the price

The ball is slightly discolored in spots. Not too concerned since it's outside under a tree. I ordered the silver color. In the rural southwest we have a lot of critters. I'm hoping if they see their reflection they will just move on. I think I'm going two more for the same reasons. Because of the discoloration I would not consider inside use. I think it's an ok value for the cost.

Mirrored Finish COMPLETELY GONE after 3 months

I purchased this gazing globe for my garden in June, but didn’t get around to installing it until July. By September, all of the reflective coating had disappeared. This is unacceptable. I’ve contacted the supplier to see what can be done as it’s supposed to have a 1-year warranty (although Amazon only offered a 30 day return window). UPDATE Oct2022: I reached out to the company directly and they sent a new globe after I provided them a pdf of my receipt, and a photo of the damaged globe. We will see if this new one has the same issue. UPDATE Nov2022: well it’s already started happening again. This product is designed to let moisture inside, where the “silvering” is, and the silvering isn’t waterproof. Seems like an easy fix, use waterproof paint inside, or seal the silver paint with a waterproof paint. Very disappointed.
