Fixture prepunched mounting holes are wrong.

I purchased this light to go over a recessed mirrored medicine cabinet. The light looks great but beware. The plate that the 5 light sockets are mounted to has a knockout for the wires and the mounting screws to go through to be attached to an existing electrical wall box. These knockouts are not centered on the light plate but are as much as 2 inches off center. If you use them your finished product will not be correctly aligned on the box or the wall. If you dont notice this you'll end up with holes in your wall that you dont want. I just didn't use their markings but instead measured and drilled my own on the mounting plate. This doesnt affect the nickel finish plate at all just the mounting plate. It was easier to fix it myself than sending it back and going for "pot luck" again. I still like the fixture but for someone who doesnt have a drill and bits handy it could be a problem. If you aren't using an electrical wall box to mount the fixture none of this matters.

No complaints.

I have no complaints about this vanity fixture. It's good for the price; certainly a little light (no pun intended) on the quality, but I wasn't looking for much. I wouldn't say it's "cheaply made," necessarily, but I found that the metal (feaux-metal?) bent very easily and I had to be more careful with it than I expected. One thing to note - something that I would not consider as a negative of the light fixture itself, but worth mentioning: this purchase for me personally was to replace a very similar unit in my house that was finished as "brass" as opposed to "brushed nickel." I was hoping/expecting that it would be as simple as swapping out the faceplates. Unfortunately, the existing bulb fixtures were too large for this particular model to just slip over, so it did require some "carpentry and electrical" work (I use the quotation marks because it wasn't serious) to replace the whole unit. I do not know the make or model of the previous units - they pre-dated my ownership of the house. But if you are considering this purchase for the same reason, be prepared for a different fit.

Great lighting

Simple design and provides great lighting. I replaced a 5 light bathroom fixture with this one and could not be more pleased. It's easy to clean and to replace the bulbs (my previous fixture was a serious pain to do either). I installed it myself without any problems at all.

The holes to mount to the box are not center on the unit, nor is the hole through the mounting plate. If your box is centered on your space and you want to mount to it, you can’t. Talk about oversight. Further, the cover piece is bent and does not sit flat on the wall, and the pieces that hold it onto the mounting bracket only pressure fit, so there is no way to pull it flat. Pass on this unit.
