life saver for tight places.

You cannot find these in the big box stores. but what a life saver they were. I had to put 4 outlets on a wall, turn out that the wall cavity was only 3/4" + 1/2" drywall = gave me 1" 1/4 to work with. This was plenty of space for these boxes. outlet fitted with room for additional slack of Romex cable. ordered 2 more just for future cases.

Works okay BUT ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

A romex connector will not work in this box due to the lock washer being wider than the box. My solution was to grind the tips off two oposing sides of the lock washer and then screw the connector into washer. Make sure one removes the correct opposing tips or one will not be able to use the screws to tighten on the romex wire.(unless one cuts the screws shorter.) Better yet grind all of the screws to make the washer round.

Great product!

This electric box was exactly what I needed to complete my shallow electrical box installation. Combined with a box extender, it worked beautifully. Couldn't find it in any of the local hardware stores!

Renovation saver

Could be better

Would be perfect if one of the sides didn't have a 1 in connection on a 1 in box. Can't use a connector on this side if the box is flush with the drywall.
