The Gorilla Pads! Huge but the best ones ever!

I think they are huge for my legs and it looks a little funny wearing them. It might not feel very comfortable at first, especially when you are standing. However, it feels perfect when you bend your knees (and that is what it was for, right?). The material is excellent! Very durable! And it makes me feel safer than other pads I've had. They also stick very firmly to my legs thanks to their extra belts. Now I see why Tony Hawk wears these!

Perfect for sliding

I used this product for slide haunting, and I gotta say for someone with a larger frame like myself the shock absorption and comfortability these knee pads give are A-1! And I would definitely buy again if I needed to

Great protection. Comfortable

I play roller derby and need a pair of knee pads that will protect my knees when I fall. My old pair would not absorb the "shock" when I fell, and caused my knees quit a bit of pain. Im a larger girl, 5'10", 197 lbs, and purchased the XL, they are comfortable and fit great. So far, these have been just what I needed. These 187 Killer Pro pads have provided amazing protection. When I fall, I don't feel anything. They are a bit thicker and bulkier than what I'm used to. However, they do not get in the way of skating or cross overs.

great for skate parks

Sizing was way off

Good quality, but sizing is way off. Went by their chart and even went up a size. Too tight on thighs.

Size chart inaccurate

I used the size chart on these and while the measurement around the knee is correct, you really have to measure above and below your knee. The XL should've fit around my knee, but since these are tall, they didn't get around my unfortunately large calf/lower thigh. These run very small -- these fit my husband, who has sticks for legs and not much else. However, the protection appears to be no joke. These are bulkier than Triple 8s by far, but if you're in derby, these don't seem to be a hindrance.

Excellent knee pads. If you have big legs even XL is tight. I was wearing large though so these fit a little better They stay put and are adequately padded. Much better than the ones I had when I was younger. If you don't mind the bulk(they are not heavy) then these are the pads for you. Definitely not low profile though....So if your looking for stealth pads these are not that.

Fantastic quality! Removable/replaceable caps makes these more than worth their cost. Can be used and reused if/when worn out. Fantastic quality backing and very comfortable

Great pads!

I waited a bit to review these but I can say they are well worth the money. I was wearing protech knee pads before this and bailed on a mini ramp directly on my left knee. The result was like I wasn't even wearing a knee pad. The protechs didn't help and were pinching my leg. These 187 killer pads have been great after my last bail resulted in a month off my board with a small fracture and some liggy damage I began wearing these. The wrap in the back of the pad fits tight but does not pinch or rub like the protech ones. Protection is amazing. I have fallen on my knees while wearing these and even while I was worried since my injury/recovery there was no damage to my healing knee. Look I'm a 40 year old skater with a bad knee and can't take another bail with inferior pads on. With these in I don't have to worry about that and can just skate. Do recommend highly.

La diferencia entre equipo pro y amateur

Algo que no es tan perceptible es que estas rodilleras tienen mucha más protección en la estructura interna de la rodillera. No solo la placa de plástico es más grande sino que tiene un armazón interior que permite amortiguar mucho más el impacto. En la foto se ven las 187 tamaño XL comparando con rodilleras amateur tamaño L y las hace parecer coderas. Debido a su tamaño sí me da la impresión de que el enfoque de uso es casi exclusivamente para skateparks/rampas porque la mayor comodidad se experimentará con las piernas ligeramente flexionadas (patineta, skate agresivo) y tal vez no se sentirá tan cómodo para patinaje recreativo de largas distancias. Una parte que sí es super disfrutable es que el tipo de broche de mariposa permite ponerse o quitarse las rodilleras sin necesidad de quitarse tenis/patines, y el uso de velcro nivel industrial hace que sea super firme el agarre.

Great quality and super comfortable

I would definitely highly recommend these knee pads! They're easy to put on and they stay in place and the kneecup is super slippery.... To mention they are super comfy.
