Delivery

I like the product as it served the purpose i ordered it for. Only problem was the way it was delivered. It was just thrown on my steps which are open to anyone walking by. Was not even put on top step or inside door. Doorbell was not rung as someone was home at time of delivery.

I like it.

I use it to turn on all the lamps in my bedroom. If it is not fastened down, it is awkward to use. So I got some Scotch Mount double-sided foam mounting tape and stuck it on the edge of my bedside table. Now it is so convenient.

It's not exactly what I was looking for.

The toggle is awkward. Wanted a darker color and the price seemed high. Couldn't locate at local stores so I had to buy online.

It Works

I needed to replace a cord like this one and I'm happy with my purchase. It meets my expectations

Functional

It does what it's intended to do, but it has two "protector" pieces of hard plastic on either side of the switch that (I assume) are supposed to make it so it doesn't accidentally get switched on or off, but they make it difficult to use the switch naturally, and are painful if you are fumbling for the switch in the dark, and hit them wrong. If I didn't need it immediately, I would be returning it. I'll try to cut them off, but I'm sure it will be a hassle.

Power cycle a hard to reach electronic device

I kick myself for not thinking of this simple solution years ago. I have a Cisco Tuning adapter required by my TIVO high up in a closet that needs to be power cycled periodically. About once a month probably. I've climbed up there and unplugged its barrel connector dozens of times. This switch eliminates that. I am now 75 and try to avoid climbing up anywhere I don't absolutely have to. I did not have any of the problems like the ones mentioned in the one star reviews. Unless there is some reason not to, removing AC from the input to a power supply like this switch does should have the same effect as removing power at the much harder to access barrel connector.

Love this product for Heat Lamps

I have heat lamps for reptiles and birds (just basic heat lamps from pet stores) that keep burning out. I suspect due to the lamp on off switches being inferior on the lamps. Having tested this product (this is my second buy) last year - my heat lamps have lasted 3x longer (one now 1 year, opposed to 4 months on average).

Have an unswitched outlet that I have lights connected to. Would like to be able to switch the light without switching the whole outlet. This achieves exactly that.

I don’t know what ”sheerness” is with this product. It is exactly what I wanted. The switch appears durable for repetitive use. Good value, I may order more.
