Awesome tweezers.
Tried these out and they're good and look cool. Point was there but was not like a needle which is what we had been looking for. Still though, this is a good tweezer and does have durable tips. Don't waste your money on the cheap junk, just spring for a great pair of tweezers like this. We just use them for splinters and such, a much better choice than those cheapies tweezers from the health and beauty care departments.

confused!
i purchased these tweezers for facial hair removal and they were under the health and beauty care category. perhaps i should have read the description more carefully. they are of no use to me because they did/do not grip anything or rather i found it very difficult to grip any of the facial hair i wished to remove. even when i carefully had the hair in the tweezer's grip... it did not grip or remove the hair and i spent a good amount of time trying because i did not want to feel i had wasted my money. additionally, the tweezer's size and length is cumbersome and difficult to work with. i finially gave up and placed them with the tweezers i use to pick up and place rhinestones on my projects. again, perhaps i mis-read the description so do not let this review deter anyone from buying this item; as long as you are aware of what you will be using them for... NOT FACIAL HAIR!

These are the perfect all around tweezers
These are the perfect all around tweezers. There are better tweezers out there but I was not about to drop 60 dollars on those. You can grab something as large as a quarter and wave it quickly through the air without losing it. It is also possible to grab a single hair and play tug of war with your other hand. The action is able to be worked from the very top inch. I was able to grab a network cord I was trying to feed through a wall and position it correctly to pull it through. I would avoid cheaper tweezers they are a joke.

Best tweezers ever
Bought for electronic work and they work beautifully. Also used them to remove a splinter and even a cactus needle. They are not the least expensive tweezers out there, however, they are the best. Highly recommended.

Different from the German made version of the same model
Comparing this to the same model bought in 2013: 1. Package says "Assembled in USA with global components" 2. This is heavier 3. Takes more effort to close the jaws 4. The tips seem slightly less fine but they grip equally well.

Really nice.
If you use tweezers much, you will defiantly appreciate these over the $2 XMart versions. These are non-magnetic, very precise, have a very light "touch", as in won't stress your fingers out holding small items, and you can control more easy the pressure - so you are less likely to crush the thing you are holding. The only con I can think of is they are not "brass" as in they are hard and can scratch soft metal if you aren't careful. But then...if brass is what I wanted...yeah...yeah...I know - 5 stars hello?
