Screws were missing from Package
The items are as shown in the product images; however the important fastening screws for assembling the slats together was missing (they just put the screws in a small plastic bag and the the screw packet was not taped down to anything; they were just left inside free-floating around within the VERY THIN outer plastic bag, which easily tore during shipping and the small packet of screws fell out.... Not much use without the screws to hold them together! They need to show better care in securely packaging the important screws with the slats, so that they are not lost during shipment...

Easy to install
I used this product as a replacement for the original ones I received with my Whynter portable AC/Heater. I had to cut off about 4” of the extension part since it was too wide for the window with the extension and too short to you just the part with holes for the hoses to fit. It fit right in the space where the window closes and the actual window closed down on top with no tape to a snug fit. We had a 7” rain with wind a day or two after I installed it and I had no leaks or seepage. I thought it was a little pricey but after the ease of getting it installed and had no leaks I decided it was worth every penny.

Works fine
Others have said it yes it is pricey. But I went to the hardware stores and they ether did not have anything that would work or looked at me like I was speaking a strange language. Also be aware it does not come with the screws you ether have to buy elsewhere or go to the manufacturers web site and buy separately. that's why only 4 stars.

I purchased this when I bought my air conditioner as it was recommended that some use it as an extender for bigger windows. However, its use as an extender relative to its usable size is misleading. It is the exact same window kit that comes with the AC and doesn't include any hoses or ports. The center part, which is required to link two wings together has two port holes in it. So if you are willing to manually cover up the port holes, you kind of only get an additional half the size of the original kit. I just needed to replace the shorter insert with the longer one to fit my ~56" window so I guess it is "OK" for me though not really worth the price since I am only using 1/3 of the kit. I originally thought it might work with my sliding door as two kits at 48" each mathematically make up the difference but it just wouldn't come close to cutting it and if you have to find a way to cover the port holes you might as well just build your own. So if your intent is an extender kit, I highly recommend that you wait until your AC arrives so that you can mentally imagine if two window kits will really be able to fulfill your needs. If your intent is to replace or get an additional window kit (no hose ports included), then this matches the AC version so if you have had one in the past - there will be no surprises.

If you only need an extension piece, you have to get a full kit and for some silly reason the one with 2 holes costs less than the one with only one hole - not that you even need that part - all you need it the small extender piece...but it is what it is. If you break your kit, then these are the exact same as the ones that come with the Whynter a/c units.

Wells formed product. Small improvements needed.
Met expectations. Made from quality material. Fittings and sizes of holes were correct for their functions. One improvement could be the use of a higher quality screw and even to the point of stainless steel (for increased prices to cover cost) so that moisture and humidity do not result in rust over time. Also, the instructions are not well written and the direction the "face" is supposed to be positioned is unclear - curl out vs curl in, etc.

Just can't decide which was worse: manufacturer's assistance, part design or quality control?
I somehow lost this portion of my portable A/C set so I contacted the Whytner group to learn what part I needed. So i thought i was ordering the right kit on Amazon. First problem...the kit doesn't explain that you will need another connecting portion between the end of your pipe seal and the window kit which is NOT available on Amazon. Second, there actually aren't any instructions. So when you finally figure out something is missing, and for the second time contact the manufacturer to figure out what you need, they refer you to another "after parts" company that sends you a second expensive part that doesn't fit. Back to this kit... The little screws that are supposed to hold the pieces at the right length are a real treat to insert. No they don't fit; Yes, they are too big, so,Yes you need to force them. Further there is no foam or seal to assist in closing off the vent nor any means of adjustig vertical height of the window closure to allow for vent pipe clearance around your window. I finally ended up grabbing a roll of white duct tape and jerry-rigging the connection..which I should have done in the first place. Instead I'm nearly a $100 poorer. Moral: Don't lose parts to your Whytner Portalbe A/C. Better yet don't buy this brand in the first place. I gave it 1stars but most credit goes to the amazing qualities and glory of Duct Tape!! This is not Amazon's fault.

Adaptateur de fenêtre a deux sortie pour A/C portatif
Parfaitement ce que j'ai commandé, de fabrication résistante, mais la seule chose, les trous pré-percés sont trop grand par rapport au adaptateur de connexion de la tuyauterie. Je vais devoir rallonger les vis et mettre des nuts pour maintenir les adaptateurs en place.

EXCELLENT QUALITY.....
This plate is better quality that the manufacturers original (Danby) for my 12 year old Portable A/C. The unit itself is awesome and works well, but the window venting plate and exhaust and intake tubes finally fell apart. This plate (with added new tubes and flanges) has made it possible to use the unit for a good few more years! Everything fitted well! Thank you!

Thick, well made, nice beige solid color (doesnt look cheaply done). If you need a dual exhaust port in your window then this one does a great job. Adjustable and everything. Recommended.
