Good for in between shaves.

There are a lot of guards but I only use like 3 of them. If my hairs are long enough and I have no time to shave I'll just use no guard. It's not the best but it's better than nothing. I don't like the fact there is no light to let you know it's charging or fully charged. I mainly go by how the motor sounds. I do oil them regularly, as you should. I don't like the case, it's too bulky, so I'm using a case from my previous trimmer.

trims moustache side burns closely

Finally had to replace my old Wahl nicad batteried trimmer of 20+ years. This one is the best so far. It trims the lip edge of the moustache and side burns with a direct 90 degree cut like a barber. The teeth set is very close edge to edge. Unlike most of the others with a 1 day untrimmed 1/6 inch gap like the Philips Norelco Multigroomer All-in-One Trimmer Series 3000 that I bought a year ago. Still might look at the Braun Styler MGK5245 MultGroom US (with out the dial head adjustment that seems to change head gap at will) It does have lithium battery also. The sticky rubber handle that holds trimmed hair is annoying. The thin rubber will probably turn gooey in a few years like old electronics. Too bad. The bag is nice but elastic wrap will probably die a stretchy death.. the rubberize exterior see above. Wish for an in-between sized trimmer head from the tiny 1/4inch to the 1 inch like 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch.

Quality trimmer as expected, but...

Wahl fell short of expectation overall. 1. Charging cord is still like antique wire, ungainly to handle it likes to kink and coil. 2. No charge indicator! In this age of Li-ion rechargeables, this is primitive. Cannot run while charging, zero indication of charge level or that it is even accepting a charge. Makes me wonder if the battery management is safe or a potential fire hazard. I guess it will be safest to place it in the porcelain sink while charging in case it decides to blow. 3. Attachements for stubble length but not longer. The adjustable one is longer than I try to keep my beard so it's not useful to me (though it is a nice piece). There's one that will adjust length of beard depending on angle it's held at, I guess ok if you're really very careful, but you can cut way too short too easily. 4. The case has no zipper! It has a big flap you wrap over the opening, but the elastic that holds it in place is too long, leaving big gaps where small parts can fall out. 5. The rubber handle grabs hair and won't shed it. It would be easy to rinse off, but the case, especially the charging port, doesn't look water tight, so I had to dampen a wash cloth to wipe it clean. That's my initial list of dissatisfactions. Almost enough to make me return it for something better suited to my wants. On the plus side, it's quality cutters as expected from Wahl. It comes with whisk brush and oil, a small foil shaver (won't use it) and a wider T-cutter that might be nice but probably won't use it. Also a really narrow trimmer that I will never use. These may be useful for some, but I'd trade them all for the wide foil shaver and nose hair trimmer. The paperwork shows a great list of additional parts you can buy from their website. I wish they'd have provisioned this one a bit better for my needs.

No charge indicator

I bought this to replace a very similar Wahl trimmer that no longer powered on due to a problem with the charging mechanism. When you plug the charger into these it disables them from powering on. After removing the charger I needed to coax the old one to power back on. At first I just replugged the charger into it a time or three to get it working again. In the end I resorted to banging it on the bathroom counter. When that stopped working I bought this. I had it maybe 10 years. The old one had a charge indicator LED. When it needed a charge it would blink. When connected to the charger it was on steady. When fully charged it would shut off. Simple but effective. This new one has no such LED. Your only indication that it needs to be charged is when it starts to die. This is a huge step backwards in my opinion.

So far so good!

I bought this for my son who originally asked for a replacement to his social media-advertised brand that costs twice as much. He says he likes this product just as well as the last and it saved me some money. So it’s a win!

Great looking trimmer, but...

The main problem with the trimmer was that it shipped with an American plug only. I had to buy a US to UK plug converter to charge it. The combs supplied were only good for stubble or bushy beard. Nothing in between. Unit looks great and battery life is awesome.

Bastante buena para su rango de precio, pero no al nivel de sus hermanas mayores

Antes que nada, que quede claro que es un buen producto, probablemente de lo mejor que puedes conseguir por este precio. Pero no es lo que uno espera de una marca con el prestigio de Wahl, lo cual no es sorpresa si tomamos en cuenta que hay otros modelos de la misma que valen el doble. Pros: - Desempeño perfecto en barbas cortas, si lo tuyo es la barba de "3 días" esta cortadora es para tí. - De las mejores rasuradoras que he probado, el accesorio de rasurada a ras funciona muy bien. - La pila dura una eternidad, si la usas unos 10 minutos diarios te va a durar un mes sin recarga. - Muy ligera y portátil, es pequeña y extremadamente liviana. - Agarre perfecto, el material del mango es un plástico que no resbala para nada, casi pegajoso. Contras: - Es de plástico y se siente muy delicada, tanto la maquina como los accesorios. Invita a tener mucho cuidado. - Promete alta potencia, pero no es nada impresionante, incluso pellizca más de lo que esperaba. - Hace mucho ruido, demasiado, más que una cortadora de cabello con cable. - No sirve para barbas largas, más allá de 2 cm es completamente inútil. - ¿Recuerdan que tiene buen agarre? Pues es especial para los pelos, te tardas más en mantenerla limpia que en usarla. En general, es una buena opción de bajo presupuesto, en especial para mantener la barba corta. Pero si buscas estilizar una barba larga y frondosa, vas a tener que invertir un poco más.

Se presentó un problema pero se solucionó

Recibimos la rasuradora a tiempo y mi marido la utilizó sin problema. Sin embargo a los tres meses dejó de funcionar. Llamé a atención a clientes de Amazon y me pusieron en contacto con el proveedor en México. Después de algunos problemas de comunicación iniciales que se solucionaron rápidamente enviaron por la rasuradora y a los tres días ya la tenía de regreso funcionando. Cambiaron el cargador. Muchas gracias por atención y solución al problema.

If you live outside USA, remember to ask for your local plug end for power pack.

Product works as expected. Fortunately I had an Australian version of the same powerpack from my old Wahl trimmer. I should have made sure I asked for a localised powerpack. There were no adapters in the product that arrived. Positive outcome: I can also use some of the accessories from my old trimmer with the new.
