Works as I'd hoped, so no more paper filters
Presto 6 cup Coffee Percolator: I recently bought the Presto 6 cup coffee percolator (from another company) and none of the videos or descriptions mentioned that you needed paper filters - that part conveniently left out. It looked like you could use as is. I was disappointed to discover that they recommended using paper filters, and sent a few in the box. They were fine to use, if a bit annoying to insert (diameter a bit small) and I did notice some coffee sediment at the bottom of my cup and percolator (not a deal breaker). The percolator itself is small (does not take up much space on counter), neat, dinky, lovely to look at and just marvelous. Can be tricky connecting all the sections, but that just takes a wee bit of practice. Loving it and so far, very happy with it. Tops perma-brew coffee filter: I bought this filter to avoid having to continue buying paper ones. A lot of reviews were negative because, imho, while it does indicate that it fits 'most' coffee makers, it does say the measurements are 3½", which is not big enough for a 12 cup. So, that was helpful for me to spot as my 6 cup percolator is 3½" in diameter. Anyway, it arrived the other day and I used it with all of the percolator inserts and just by itself and it worked fine. The taste was perfect and no coffee sediment at all – (that could depend on the type of coffee, the grind, etc) - but it worked great for my needs. So far, very happy with this perma-brew filter. Love my coffee
I seen this as I was browsing through getting coffee filters. One thought I would try it out. It turns out it is pretty good. Sometimes it is hard to get the coffee out of the filter. But overall it is a great product.

12 cup percolator ONLY- Don't be me, buy paper filters for the small pot!
This is a nice little gadget but unfortunately it's for the 12 cup percolator and I bought that cute Presto 6 cup (it's amazing! it needs no filter- put your finger over the hole at the top when making the coffee!) I am not returning this inexpensive item, the issue is wholly my fault and because I didn't see this information when I read the comments I thought I'd add it- This is for a large percolator, the 12 cup and I'd imagine it's perfectly made for purpose.

only good for max 6 cups
This would fit any perculator as it states but it will not hold enough grounds for more than 6 cups. I decided to go with the wrap around filters which is a very easy clean up. I also use the disc filters for extra filtration. I HATE grounds! Lol NOTE that I also use coarse ground coffee which helps to reduce grounds as well.

Too small
While the description says it fits most percolators, the standard percolator basket is 4 inches. This filter is only three inches, leaving a full half-inch all around for water to bypass the filter. Unuseable in Cuisinart or Presto 12-cup coffeemakers.

Small, but Mighty
When I received this coffee filter, I had tried every kind of filtering aid designed for my 4-cup percolator: the original metal basket, wrap-around paper filters, and a different type of replacement filter I've blocked from my memory it was so awful. This one was so small, I thought it was intended for a doll's house coffee maker. Surely this one would end up on my pile of broken dreams! In the photo array, you can see that to use this filter, remove the metal top to the metal basket and put it aside. There's no room under the coffee pot's lid for it with this replacement filter. Pour water into pot,, then put the metal pieces back in place. Put new filter in metal basket, and fill with coffee for brewing. This part is tricky. Despite all appearances, the coffee pot lid WILL fit over the replacement filter basket thanks to the spring underneath. Just push down firmly until it snaps in place. Then plug in the coffee pot, et voila -- coffee! It works. Very few coffee grounds get into your cup, and that's what a filter is there to do.

It's undersized and inadequate for 12 cup sized percolators
Conceptually it's fine. A mesh filter in the basket of the percolator rather than using just the basket or makeshifting with some paper filter within the basket. But the thing is, they never explained the size of it in terms of how small it is compared to the size of 12 cup pots. Being too small here doesn't really wash since the grounds in the undersized filter don't get as much hot water over then in the time your pot uses. So the coffee comes out too weak. This would probably be dandy in an 8-cup machine actually. Someone who has one can comment on that. I'll keep it for the possibility of having a smaller machine in the future.

It makes clean up easier.
Does what it is supposed to do but is a bit on the small side for the stove top percolator that I bought it for. It is good for 6 to 8 cups my maker is 12.

Does not fit COLETTI Bozeman 12 cup
Amazon suggested to purchase this perma filter when I was buying the Coletti Bozeman 12 cup stainless percolator, my wife said “great! No more chewing the last cup” ???? Well, it does not fit, it’s to small in diameter and to tall for the lid to close. Full return in the works. Not a good suggestion Amazon! Only reason for low stars, is I can’t rate what I’ve not used, Amazon is the one who screwed up here, not the seller.

Very light and flimsy. Part of the mesh was already pulling away from the plastic when I got it, so I had to return it.
