A New Take on a Blast From the Past
I've been a Digimon fan since I was a kid, and this brings me back to awesome days. It's not quite the same as the other tamagotchis, you won't be cleaning up poop and they go to sleep when you want them to. But it's just as fun, as well as an excuse to be more active. I've also seen a lot of folks talk about their kids getting great workouts from it. So not just for 90's kids! :P Be careful with it, though. It's got small, easily lost pieces to it, can be broken easily, and isn't waterproof by any means, so don't wash your hands with it on. Other than that, I love this device. And if you loved Digimon or even just the tamagotchis, and don't mind walking a little more than usual (lol), give this bracelet a chance. If you got kids that might be interested, bring them into the fandom, too! It could use more love.

Enjoyable
I got this for my brother. He enjoys it a lot and help him stay active. There are a lot of different digimon collectibles which would make this enjoyable for any kids and adults into digimon. Device is water resistant. Tracks different activities to grow digimon which allows users to stay active and fit to enjoy the additional game aspects of the device.

Remember that this is a toy, not a Fitbit.
This is a fun toy with a few caveats: 1. The pedometer doesn’t actually work. One day I got steps in by sitting in bed. It’s nice to see numbers go up that make you think you’re healthy I guess. 2. Similar issue with the heart rate monitor. 3. No way to check the calendar despite requiring you to input the date. 4. No way to change time from a 24 hour format to a 12 hour format. 5. The app is being discontinued in favor of a newer app that has fewer features currently - I wish I knew this beforehand. 6. There’s not really any way except trial and error to evolve your Digimon. 7. This model is being replaced with a newer model called the Vital Bracelet BE which isn’t yet localized for English regions. 8. The Digimon don’t really do much unless you have the app (which is being discontinued). You can’t play with them or interact with them like you can a more classic Digimon or Tamagotchi toy. You can workout and watch them evolve, and upload them to a mobile app to battle. That’s about it. 9. The Digimon are sold separately at what are pretty much predatory costs for what’s essentially a tiny usb stick with an equally tiny amount of data. 10. A screen protector or some time of armor sold separately is practically necessary given how fragile this is. This is a fun Digimon accessory and a functional watch, but it’s not much else. It fulfills what I wanted - a Digimon pet accessory that I wouldn’t feel embarrassed about carrying as an adult. Unfortunately it falls short as an actual Tamagotchi substitute and as a Fitbit substitute.

I love that with this, I can have a digivice, with a digimon friend, when it was working, I felt it was helping to make me more active, however, it recently stopped working, I put it to charge, but nothing happens, I can't seem to see anything, even if the device is on, and plugged in to charge.

It's a toy and it has issues.
If you don't have NFC on your phone you're losing a large portion of the features: - Can only store 2 Digimon - Can't take special exercise quests from the app - Can't see detailed stats from watch - Can't use the profile level up & store items feature - Probably more I don't know about since I can't use it I've read online that NFC phone adapters do not work either. Okay now that's out of the way let's talk about the watch. The step counter is way too sensitive. It picks up every little arm movement as 1-2 steps. I get 3,000 steps just sitting at PC all day. This is a core part of the game along with the heart rate sensor which is a little more accurate but still not great. So it's really bad at tracking your physical activity. This device is mostly just a toy. It's also NOT waterproof. Be very careful when washing your hands. I would have liked to have the weekdays displayed on the homescreen but it's just your Digimon, the time and your "vitals" (workout points or digimon life points I guess) & steps. Build quality is not great, it easily scratches, the strap is not a real strap it just pops on & the buttons on the side rattle when you move. Dim cards are how you load Digimon onto the watch, which are about 5-20$ each and have maybe 15 total evolutions depending on how active you and how many battles you win. Battles occur when your watch scans NFC such as credit card reading machines, phones have it for quick pay, Nintendo switch and 3DS have it for amibos. I wish they went with bluetooth though. It's far more common and you'd get more battles in. Battles are very simple, a couple animations and a life bar and it's stats like HP and Attack and some random luck. Now then, is this device good for staying active and fit? It's okay. It's more of a game than a serious work out. Daily you can do 4 work outs: sit ups, punches, squats, running - for 20 seconds each. Doing these gives your Digimon trophies for evolution into better or different Digimons. Also the vital points and the passage of time comes into play for this. Final thoughts: It's a toy, a game. It's not great quality. It has flaws. It should have been bluetooth and not NFC. Collecting the DIM cards can be fun. However if you like Digimon or Virtual Pets or need help getting off your butt just a little bit each day this is an okay purchase for $50-60. I wouldn't pay more.

Awesome!
I love this bracelet and it’s definitely helped motivate me to get active! It isn’t necessary but to get the most out of it I’d suggest pairing it with their mobile app so you can do the missions. If I had complaints, it’s kind of difficult to put on; I usually have to try a couple times before it’s secure, and also it isn’t a super accurate pedometer if that’s what you need. All of that being said, I’d call this is a very worthwhile buy for any Digimon fan who wants to work out.

Fitness Digimon
It's been a great Pokémon go alternate for fitness incentive - digimon take 16-24 hrs to evolve and your level of activity determines how strong they'll be, selective evolution leads to stronger arena entries. Wolf Howl (included DIM) gives access to Omnimon.

Battery lasted about 2 minutes
Tried to use this a few times, desperately tried to make it work as I couldn't return it from where I was. it charged and then powered up but would die after about 2 minutes. Fun idea in concept, totally useless in real life.
