Super thin, minimal wallet

I was looking for a thin wallet. I tried several, most of them leather. This is the best by far. It stays quite thin, even when packed with cards and cash, and is very light. Removing cards or cash is super easy, yet the cards don't fall out. Compared to the other wallets, this one is much less expensive. A great value.

I Was Skeptical Of The Big Skinny... Not Anymore!

I had seen commercials for the Big Skinny wallet several times in the past and was definitely interested and wondered if it was as good as they made it sound. After all, that never seems to happen in commercials, right? One of the few things that I had asked my family to get me for Christmas last year was a skinny wallet. Honestly, I had no idea if by this time if one company alone offered something like this or if many did now. Anyway, I did not get a skinny wallet for Christmas and I knew that I had to get a new wallet. Most of my credit cards, while in my existing wallet, were all getting cracked about 1/2" down from the top of them. They were cracking where the stagger was, meaning where one card was in front of or behind another card in the pockets. I've even had to replace some of the damaged cards. So I did some online searching and found the best price, overall, to actually be through Amazon. I ordered the Big Skinny Men's Compact Sports Bi-Fold Slim Wallet that can hold up to 20 cards and looked forward to having a less bulky wallet and one that didn't damage a bunch of my credit cards. Upon receiving the wallet, I was surprised at the size of it, being smaller that what I thought was realistic to properly and comfortably hold everything I needed it to. I found there to be only 2 pockets, one being an ID pocket with a clear window (plus 2 hidden pockets) that could hold credit cards, insurance cards, my driver's licence, etc. and I was immediately disappointed, thinking there was no way this could possibly work well and especially not be real bulky. It might look a little smaller that a regular wallet but I didn't think there could be any realistic way that it could feel less bulky than a regular wallet and be worth the difference. I even went and showed my son and voiced my displeasure to him about what appeared to be the case with this new wallet. I would be real foolish to not at least put everything from the old wallet into the Big Skinny and give it a bit of a try and see how it performs and feels. Worst case scenario is that I'm able to return it to Amazon, anyway. Well, to my surprise, I could fit all the stuff from my old wallet into the Big Skinny. I then I used the Big Skinny for a few days and the rest is history!! The Big Skinny is not bulky at all. The fit is certainly smaller than an average wallet and clearly more comfortable than any wallet I have ever owned before. The material seems a bit stretchy, as it pertains to holding plenty of credit cards, etc. in it, it is light weight and seems also to be very durable. It's made of nylon microfiber and is actually machine washable! I never knew that was even an option. Especially when I compare the feel of the Big Skinny to wallets I've have in the past, I honestly sometimes have to check my pocket to make sure I actually have my Big Skinny wallet with me because sometimes I can't tell! I am thrilled with the Big Skinny wallet and it's definitely the only wallet for me!

Very skinny!

So I got this as a travel wallet and was hoping to fit regular U.S. sized bills as well as several credit cards, drivers license, etc.... When I saw it for the first time after I received it, I was kind of disappointed because it was really, really tiny and thought it was maybe too tiny. But you absolutely can fit bill and credit cards in with no issues. Right now I have eight bills in the primary money slot, four credit cards in the card pocket, and my drivers license and an insurance card behind the clear plastic. And it's still super skinny. This would easily be comfortable in a front pocket. You don't have to fold your bills when they go into the wallet but they will get folded when you close the wallet as it's a bifold fyi. So overall I'm happy with it. I have been using it as my daily wallet and don't anticipate any issues when I travel with it. If I had one nitpick it would be that the "Big Skinny" logo is right there on the front. This will not be a problem under most casual circumstances but this wallet will not work with dress clothes (if you care about those sorts of things).

Love it so far

I love this wallet so far (just over two months in). The material is very thin, which adds almost no bulk or thickness. It's also durable so far, no tears, just some gentle wear-in from the cards. It's easy enough to fit in the front pocket when I need to. Only a few aspects that I think the manufacturer could improve on. The slot design is not preferable. I try to keep no more than two cards in the horizontal slot so that it doesn't stretch out, but it's easy enough for cards to fall out if the wallet is upside down. You can avoid this by just putting all your cards in the interior slots, which is where most of mine are, but then you have to pull out a bunch of cards and sift through them when you're looking for one in particular. It would be nice to have a few more horizontal slots to separate the cards. The fabric is thin enough you can do this without adding much thickness. The bill pocket is great, but could be just a tad shorter to reduce the size of the wallet even more. I like that I can put my metro card in here and the scanner will read through the wallet because it's so thin, meaning I don't have to take the card out every time. It's highly unlikely that anyone is going to steal your card information electronically by sneaking a scanner next to you without you knowing, so I'm not a fan of the RFID blocking materials.

Pretty awesome well worth the money

I have bought about 6 wallets over the last year or so including just money clips, minimal wallets and some other ridiculous things looking for the perfect wallet. Let me just tell you ... this is the one!!! I'll be buying another one just in case these guys go out of business because this is the wallet I will be using forever .. it's perfect!!!! I can put it in my front wallet and not even feel it. Nothing falls out .. 20 cards yeah it will ... not disappointed at all .. buy this if you are on the fence.. it even isnt as expensive as other wallets I bought!!!!!
