Finishing touches lacking

It’s attractive and easy to put together. It’s also pretty sturdy and relatively comfortable. The unfinished ends of the armrest and other defects in finish are distracting a bit, though. Be prepared. You get what you pay for but for the price, you get a chair that is very sit-able.

Quite attractive But it's short

I love the designs of Christopher Knight. This doesn't disappoint! It's extremely well made just about two inches shorter than we would like. My 91 year old mother sat in it and needed help getting out. The cushions aren't of sunbrella quality but seem able to withstand the weather quite well. Aside from my mom needing help to get extracted from the chair I love it!! My only regret is that I paid full price and now it's on sale.

packaging and shipping issue?

We ordered 2 of these for our front porch as Christmas presents to ourselves. They arrived with one leg broken on each chair. We returned these and promptly received two replacements with one of these arriving with a broken leg also. It appears in packaging, the crossmember support legs stick out a bit from the interior of the chair where they are placed for shipping. Possibly the boxes are getting bumped in shipping resulting in the break. My husband decided the break was in an area that he would attempt to repair so hopefully screws and wood glue will alleviate further returns on this one. They are very nice and seem to be sturdy although the bottom cushion is a bit firm. They seem to be a good value for the money otherwise.

Well Made, Attractive chair

Why would I give it 4_stars then? It's just a matter of particular preference....the cushions are too white! I am going to recover them in a more ivory cover. Other than that, I like the chair.

A “rare” review!

Just delivered today. Well packaged and even provided extra screws, bolt, and Allen wrench. Was immediately impressed by the heaviness and sturdiness of the SOLID wood base. Definitely teak. Soooo easy to put together. Has 2 pieces that cross cross to make the legs which were labeled. Took a sec to make sure they were turned the correct way. Seriously, it only took 10 min to assemble. The cushions were not the flimsy kind you might expect. The very pretty white cushions were thick and firm enough to not sink in. The pillow for your back is likewise well made and you can place it either up/down or longways across your back. They also have “feet” that you can screw to adjust in case your deck/porch is uneven. This is, by far, the best purchase I’ve made on Amazon in quite sometime. Hats off to Christopher Knight for their wonderful design.

Damaged. Cute chair. Seems Sturdy

So this came broken in the same spot that I seen in other reviews, which is a manufacturing issue. Luckily my husband had the wood glue and clamps to fix it or I would've been sending it back. This chair is sturdy and very cute. Plenty big for a decent sized person. Sits low but not awkwardly so. I'm using this indoors and the cushions are very white. I tried to coffee dye them in my kitchen sink which took a little of the starkness out but I'll have to paint them or something. I ordered 2 of these, same day, same order. So far only 1 has arrived as scheduled. The other says it's still coming but at least a week late. Edit-Received the second chair today (10/15) and it is damaged in the same spot but completely broken through and not just split. So not I'll have to deal with customer service I guess. Still love the chair so it's a shame.

Cushions are terrible!!

1 Star for Comfort and Durability, 5 Star for Style

UPDATE: less than a month later the cushions have “broken in” and are much more comfortable, however the wood frame has several spots where the wood is cracking! They do seem sturdy, but I’m afraid if the wood keeps cracking, it’s not going to be sturdy for long! Original review: I absolutely love how this chair looks and the generous size of the seat area for lounging by the fire. However, the cushions are extremely hard and uncomfortable, which made me give it 3 stars. In addition, one of the chairs had a chunk of wood broken off the back on the inside, and there were multiple places where wood filler had been used on flaws in the wood, but not properly sanded and finished. Thankfully, I have a very handy husband who does a lot of woodworking, and he was able to fix it all. I believe this was sent out by the company fully aware of the damage, since it was in an area that could not have been damaged during transport. I’m having a love/hate relationship with this order right now. They are exactly what I was looking for as far as style, but not what I had hoped for in comfort. I’ll be looking for alternatives for the cushions, but still loving the look! Haven’t had enough experience yet to comment on sturdiness, but they seem adequate.

Inconsistent Quality

Inconsistent quality. Ordered 2. One was in good condition. Other had cracked upper leg panel and small stain on the white cushion (still in wrapping).
